Did the cycsts just appear? Why didnt they see them and fix it during your surgery? I am sorry if that sounds rude, it is just that we all have been through so much, my DR told me I actually didnt need the surgery after all...long story...and now it looks like you may have needed more. Why dont they check all things before, to make sure they do not put us through added torture?
I hope everything will be easily solved for you. I will keep you in my prayers, as I do everyone every day!!
Take care

Roxieheart & Highlandsunset,

Sorry to hear that your day didn't go too well. Glad you're getting off the meds making your bp sky high and hope you enjoy your vacation with dh and just relax and enjoy.

For the cysts, maybe they won't have to perform any surgery and she can just give you meds and/or they'll just pass.

I too will continue to pray for you and each of us going through this.

I think I overdid today because having pains and tender. Will take it easy tomorrow. Tried washing clothes today & went up/down 15 stairs about 6 trips and I can feel it. First time -- have been taking easy and no stairs but thought I'd try doing more to get prepared for work and if I mess anything up I'd still have some time since before going to work.

A belated happy birthday to you gals ! Sorry to hear about some of us not doing as great as others--just tells us we all heal differently--but the end of all the tough times is getting closer i hope for most of you.

I am finally feeling fairly normal now--yeah! Still have to slow down towards the end of the day--body says "your TIRED so stop doing that and rest!" That's when little crampy feelings tell me--"ok, you're not there just yet"--going on a 5 day beach vacation Sunday and maybe i can rest better there --at home a woman's work is never done--DH and DS seem to think all's well since they see me cooking, doing laundry, etc. and if i don't stay on top of things --it will look like a bachelor pad fast--princess Cinderella is now back to mopping floors, etc.--ha!

Hope to hear good recovery news from youall when i return !

I hope you are feeling better this morning. Looks like you are entitled to a day of pampering the princess after all that laundry. Work hard one day and then rest to recover the next seems to be all our mottos here. Actually, not a bad concept for life!

Dear All,

Wow! Seems like some of us are feeling great, and others of us have taken two steps back! I went back to work full time this week (tried 5 hour days last week), and was doing great..UNTIL I drove home. I was soo tired each day (I have a 45 minute commute each way), I was scared I would fall asleep at the wheel. By Wednesday at 4:00, fatigue hit me like a rock. I left about 4:45, and was again soo tired on the way home, I got to the house and fell into bed. It's amazing how you can feel "normal" in the morning, and then the fatigue just creeps up out of nowhere!

To top it all off, my back went out yesterday morning (a recurring problem) so badly I had to get on the heating pad, flat on my back. Fortunately, I already had an appointment with my GP to get a med refill, so I told him about my back as well. He gave me a shot of Toradol, gave me steroids and Lortab, and sent me home to recover. Pardon me for yelling, but "I AM SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED!!!" Ok, that felt good.

We are heading to Columbia, SC (my hometown) this evening to see my mother. That should be fun with my back in the shape it's in! My son races BMX (bicycle motocross), and there is a big regional race in Columbia this weekend. This trip has been planned since January, and I haven't seen my mother since Christmas, so it's long overdue. I had volunteered to keep score at the race; however, the heat index has been 115 degrees in Columbia. My mother told me under no circumstances should I be outside in that heat all day, when I'm still recovering from surgery. So.....I'll stay at home with her, and let DH and DS handle the races.

Sorry to gripe...but after surviving surgery and recovery and then my stupid back!! Sometimes I wonder...when will it all end?

My empathy is with every one of you who has suffered a setback, believe me. Last week was great - I was back to work, felt useful again, got out of this HOUSE (I was sick of looking at the walls), and, even though I was tired when I got home, I still thought I was getting back to my old self. And then my back goes out! I was amazed during recovery that my back didn't hurt, since I was in bed so much (usually that will aggravate the back problems), and I was so pleased. I even thought that maybe my huge uterus was the cause of my back problems. And then BAM!! I'm ready to go back to work full time, and here we go...sigh...

As I said..sorry to vent. I know some of you are going through a lot worse than I, but I'm just soo frustrated! This is the one place I can go to vent, and know that you will all understand.

My prayers are with all of you. Hopefully, in six months we will all look back at this journey and say "yes, it was a pain, but it was all worth it!

Love to all,

TheLadysDkSide: so sorry to hear of your setbacks and back prob.--if it's not one thing it's another! Last year my twin sister broke a vertebrae and had to be the worst pain i've ever seen anyone go thru--she said when the back goes, everything goes down with it--at least it didn't bother you much at time of your hyster.---
I thought i too was on my way to normalcy especially in the a.m.--then by afternoon/evening FATIGUE creeps up out of nowhere and here in Plano/Dallas the rains have stopped and it'll be 100+ HOT for the next 2 weeks----looking forward to the 12 wk or 3mo mile marker--cause by Sept/Oct it's time to start gearing up for holidays ahead--plus lots of family members with birthdays--no time to be exhausted then! Already thinking I will do Christmas very simple this year--the thought of getting up in that attic & pulling " stuff down makes me exhausted!

Take care now~~~

Lets hope that your back is hurting due to your still weak stomach muscles and as those get stronger maybe your back will heal. I still get back aches at the end of the day and I don't usually have back problems so I can only imagine how this would irritate an already tweaked back. (I'm grasping for something positive here!)
I am self employed and am between projects so I haven't gone back to work yet so I don't have anything to compare to you guys other than I still get exhausted around 1:00 in the afternoon. Here I'm not doing anything but mom stuff and I have to fight not to fall asleep so I can really sympathize for you guys. This week I have been putting my feelers out there because I think I'm ready to start working again but hearing your stories maybe I'll wait until school starts in 2 1/2 weeks. I was so looking forward to that 6 week mark yet it went flying by with not as much improvement as I was hoping. Maybe I'm not pushing myself enough?
I'm a bit nervouse because tomorrow I am seeing my friends that I haven't seen since I started this and some of them have the "as easy as a c-section" attitude although none of them have had this themselves. I need all of my energy so I can fly in there with a huge smile on my face and pretend that everything is just fine!
I hope all of you have the weekend off and can rest up a bit. Take care.

I'm sending flowers to everybody who is feeling low all of a sudden & like this whole trip wasn't worth it!

I am on a '2 days good, 1 day tired' pattern right now, but am worrying (like all the other school teachers & workers who will be going back to work soon) that maybe I'm not going to be ready for a full school day! Right now I can't imagine being on my feet in front of a bunch of surly teens as a sub right now, but I have about 3-4 weeks to go before that could happen. Plus I have the luxury of turning down jobs, so maybe will just be looking for part-time work initially.

It is hotter than blue blazes here in WI, too; hard to get out & walk or anything. I try to do it very early in the a.m., or exercise inside now...am looking for those membership deals gyms give as try-outs for a month or so around this time of year just so I can use a tread mill or a track inside. I could walk the mall here, but I would probably shop instead!

Meanwhile, things will get better, right? They have for me, anyway, slowly but surely. Also, you gals who have ditched the premarin & hrt because of other health concerns: the only thing I found that worked for hot flashes (& I tried A LOT of natural supplements) was ice, ice & more ice; possibly including lots of ice cream & popsicles in between! Dress in layers etc. I used to rinse my dishes in cold water, just to cool off! Hot flashes are better than deep vein thromboses & strokes...only time of my life I adored winter in WI & snow!
to everybody! marva

I am home from today's follow up with my Primary doc after yestereday's fiasco. My BP was 140/94 which is better than yesterday but not great. Heart rate down to 90 so that to is better, yet not perfect.

She sent me off on vacation with a snazzy BP machine that I get to use twice and day and keep a record for her. She also told me that if I have symptoms like I had the other night she wants me to go straight to the ER wherever I may be. I am going to wean down the Premarin while I am gone but she does not want me to stop completely until I return. (just in case)

Hohummm. With all that behind me I guess I should concentrate on getting ready to leave on Sunday morning. I have a ton of laundry to do before I can even pack so off to the laundry room I go.

By the time I return we should be on the other thread so I'll see you all there. I hope everyone's health continues to improve and you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

A day late and a dollar short but I'm here too!

Happy birthday to all of you! My big 4-0 is coming up soon and for the first time since I hit 39 I'm actually ok with it. I don't know if it is this operation or just time but I feel calmer and grown up. Let's hope it lasts!
