Good evening all~
I am sorry alot of us are still feeling down. I have been fine the last few days and today I also felt just kinda "dumpy". Everything seemed to bother me more than usual. I go back to work next Tuesday and I am already dreading that and I think it is making me depressed. My DR called today and I told her that I stopped taking the premarin and she said she is going to give me some sort of cream on Monday to see if that helps. So far I really havent had many hotflashes or night sweats. I wish I could blame my depression on this but I have always had it off and on. The only thing I have noticed are chest pains on and off all day and headaches when I wake up. My pain is pretty much gone but my swelly belly is bad today and itchie. Oh yeah, and I am constipated too ...do ya see why I am depressed now.
I hope everyone has a very peaceful and uneventful weekend. As odd as it is, I think we all still need (and deserve!!) the rest. Take care

Ladies....After reading all your posts and the problems with moodiness, it reminds me of me about this time last year. I had bloodwork done and the dr. said my progersterone was too low. She put me on medication (can't remember what it was.) Well within a week i turned into Linda Blair from the Excorcist. Hated everyone and everything....poor hubby wanted to run for his life..*L*...he called those pills the b---- pills So maybe your progesterone levels are too high? I'm not familiar with premarin, but my dr. has me on Climara. I talked to him about my concerns with all that i had heard and he said it was one of the safest ones because it was a patch and not a pill. He has me on the lowest dose. Well so far things are going great. My mood is better then its ever been (no pms for starters) and i'm only dealing with mild hot flashes. As far as insomnia goes, i'm noticing that its getting a little better each night. Having more problems with having to get up to use the bathroom then anything else.
Anyway...not sure if this helped or not, but might be worth looking into. Best of luck for all of you

witchiepooh...have found a great product(oxi-powder) for constipation on amazon.com or buy direct from oxy-powder.com. it is in capsule form. instruction enclosed. and it is only a vegetable product. absolutely works everytime. my daughter found out about this from here specialist. it is painless also. you get an urge and you just go 2-3 times aday. it is a colon cleanse. so first week you are on it...then i only use 2x a week. have had cronic ibs and this product is wonderful. i take three pills in the morning and 3 at lunch. works wonders!!! hope this helps

Note to birthdaygals ~~ Enjoy every day every moment ! I loved my 40's--felt like i was wiser, more in control, more relaxed, reached a lot of goals, ate healthy, exercised & was fitter than any other time in my life -- the only prob. was it went by too fast! Now just after hitting 58 and a few bumps in this decade of life (lost both parents 2 & 3 yrs ago and now going thru this hyster.) i can't slow the clock down --i find that the older you get the faster time snowballs ! So savor EVERY moment ! We're not getting older--just better than ever !

A quick note on that beach vacation i'm going on tomorrow~~feel great with no post op probs other than being tired in p.m.--plan on a lot of R&R---IF i can hobble around on this ankle i just sprained---

2 days ago a precious parakeet flew into our patio (100* outside)--i rescued him, somehow (i'm scared of birds) put him in a doggie crate (the only cage i could think of), no neighbors claimed him, then yesterday i was giving the budgie fresh water & seed & he escaped the crate, flying all around the room--i got a tall ladder & crab net & just after catching the little darling i missed the last step on ladder & twisted my ankle! A friend said they'd take, him thank goodness, as i was panicking on what to do with this little creature just before we were to leave on our trip. So last nite the ankle started to painfully swell--and i took one of the pain pills the doc had given me post op. NOTHING is going to keep me from beaching it--between the pina coladas and pills i should be fine!! And the budgie is safe in a new home! I guess i was lucky--could've broken my neck over this little bird--but i feel good about it anyways !!

ps Did i mention i'm really scared of birds? -- DOGS RULE !!

Happy birthday to everybody! I remember my 40th so well: it was the first time my 2 daughters (at ages 10 & 12) made me a cake. They picked a cookbook recipe (!) for a lemon chiffon cake, but didn't take the time to separate the eggs & beat the whites; it was lemony, rubbery & oh so delicious (because of the thoughtfulness, of course)...the worst part was that they decided to put 40 birthday candles on it (yes, the little ones!) so the first ones were blobs of wax on the icing by the time the last ones were lit...it looked like a bonfire (of the vanities, no doubt)! C p.member laughing so much (and feeling so loved) while enjoying it. Ah, the memories...marva

hi witchiepoo.
one other thing, the oxi-powder pills are in the $40.00 range. sounds expensive...i know, but they last me about 3 months and they are non -addicting which all the over the counter pills are. also, once you do the cleanse you function(if you get what i mean) better all week. i am 52 and had the cervix removed after speaking with the head surgical nurse and listening to her advice. came home and have never even felt the difference, was shocked there was no recovery from pain ...because i never had any pain what so ever. had a Laprisopic hyst. and vaginal removal of cervix. was walking 4-days after. good luck

I too am PETRIFIED of birds. Good for you for rescuing the little bugger. And yes, I agree.............DOGS RULE.
Our hairy, four legged, only child named Molly McDog from O'Hairy line is lying at my feet as I type this. She must know something is up too because our suitcases are out and being packed. Luckily, she is such a sweetheart that we have people fighting over watching her while we are gone. She will be splitting her time between my mother-in-law and neice (who are staying here to take advantage of the beach we live at) and then 5 days with her "aunt"....our good friend.

Enjoy your beach time. Where are you headed?
