Hi ladies, my dr put me on Vicodin every 4 hours with ibuprofen600 every 6 hours. but i didnt feel so good last night when i took the vicodin at bedtime. I felt my heart racing and woke up having bad dreams, confusion. This morning i decided to take only 1/2 of the vicodin and that worked better. It still makes me sleepy though. Anyone else feeling like this on the meds?

I have to put down that I am allergic to Vicodin for just that reason! After my LSH last Tuesday, I took Darvocet for three days straight, by the third night the nightmares set in and I said "DONE!!!" Not worth it.

vicoden

I can't handle vicodin and actually have it listed as an allergy. It completely knocks me out and I have trouble waking up. The dreams leave me very confused, scary. I do a lot better with perchocet.

If your pain meds don't agree, talk to your doctor!! Don't suffer in silence. I went for 2 week post op yesterday. Doc put me on Enjuvia 0.45 I slept a little better last night after taking just one pill and today after my second pill my head isn't hurting as much. He recommended Mederma on my incision site. Burns a little the first few uses, but it's okay now. Since he cut out the two old c-section scars it's the least I can do. My tummy is a little sore in the middle halfway between my pubic bone and my belly button. I feel good though. Still have a few hot flashes and today I just feel tired. Rest is in order because I have been going going going for the last few days!

Well in response to my earlier post....I now know what the DR did!! He cut my abdominal incision open about 7"x5 " deep. I am losing so much fluid. It hurts when you have to pack/unpack it but it is ok. I see him tommorrow. I wondered if anyone else has an "itch" where your urethra is. Not like a yeast infection or pain, just a slight itch. I thought it may be healing where the catheter was? Deb

No itch but those spasms were heck! Bladder is getting better. I hate it that you are having such a pain with your incision though. That really *****! Hope you get to feeling better!

Hello, I had a TLH on July 2nd of this year. I do have a swellen belly, gas pains that are getting better. I still have a pinkish tint when I go to the bathroom. Does anyone know how long that pinkish blood will last. I went home the next afternoon after surgery. I am doing fine just wondering about the pinkish blood color when wiping after using the bathroom. "Sorry so gross"

I never had any discharge from vagina at all. My abdominal incision had to be opened up to allow drainage. I too went home the second day. I feel better now, but still draining. I see my dr at 10am tommorrow. I hope he closes this 7"x5" incision. Don't worry about grossing anyone out, you need answers and no wishy-washy questions will get that. Hope you feel better soon. Deb
