i am having everything removed on the 6th august due to years of pelvic and ovary pain . I go on holiday [flying] on the 4th october for 2 weeks, that leaves me about 8ish weeks to recover, will that be enough or will i feel crappy while on holiday, should i take things steady and will i feel fit enough to walk around and will i beable to go in the sea and pool. Im having abdominal surgery and i wouldnt want to get any sort of infection by going in the pool. anyone been away so soon after surgery? all your comments would be appreciated.

I had a tah with a bikini line incision. I was released to resume normal activities after 6 weeks. I did go slow & easy and had no real problems. I tired easily and would get a little sore but a bit of rest would take care of that. If your dr approves the trip & you can stop & rest when needed, you should be able to do it.
My incision was pretty much healed by 8 weeks. It was still a little tender but not open at all.

Best wishes, I hope you get to enjoy your vacation.

From my experience, you should be fine. Six weeks seems to be the magic number if you haven't had any complications. Just plan on giving yourself some good rest time every day and if/when you feel like you're overdoing it, plan on a beach or pool day the next day to recoup.

Trust me, this is the best thing I ever did. I'm only two weeks out and feeling like someone just handed me back the keys to a great life!

Best of luck, Lite. We're all rooting for you!
