Hi Law1961---at the end of the day when I am ready to lie down for the night, i notice that my back hurts and also my legs. I have pain from my lower back down to my legs at night. It is the only time of day that I take some Ibuprofen. Gosh, I'm hoping it is not our bones already?

Good Wednesday a.m. BONES

Hello, sisters. Yes, keep track of and care of your bones. I have read during my studies prior to surgery that for those of you 'youngins' who had ovaries removed/weren't in menopause yet that bone density loss can speed up. I was diagnosed w/osteoperosis thru the menopause years and am currently on fosomax once a week for maybe the rest of my years. And that's another reason i try to walk a lot. I don't want hip replacements like in my grandma's days. Of course, I didn't know my bones were deteriorating and many of you mention aches and pains so hopefully that's just a tad of arthritis kicking in plus the healing process from surgery.

Today it's four weeks since I started my first hesitant steps outside the house after returning from the castle. I've come a long way since then. I still have some swelly belly but nothing like the start. I can walk fairly well. My spotting is very, very, VERY light. The aches and pains that travel around my body are the worst. And last night when DD woke me from a couple of hours of sleep i felt like i was going to vomit...........must be hormone adjustment even at my old age.

A good day to you all. Happy Wednesday. It is our one week anniversary of our beloved bridge going down, so it's still pretty somber (and dry.........we need RAIN up here) in my neck of the woods. Off I go. I haven't walked YET today except around the little townhouse. I want to beat the heat.

Hello busy ladies. Yes, we become more 'MIA' as we recover and return to the world. I can't WAIT, Gemini, to be normal again. I still do not feel normal. I STILL cannot stand to hear the radio in the car, which is SO weird. And I tried to get interested in t.v. last nite and was not too successful. I spent to mornings at my college and today i'm sticking around home. I will go walk right now. It's four weeks today I started trekking around the townhouses. Yes, our bodies can ache here there and everywhere, definitely, i've found. Well, off I go. It's nice to see people getting about their business.

Good luck on the check up w/the doc, Gemini .. keep us posted.

The past few days I have felt much better other than a few aches and pains that remind me I just had surgery 3 weeks ago but the insomnia is terrible!! Two days this week of not getting to sleep til 3:30am and 4:30 am. Then I have ad to get up by 6:30.
Today i have appointments for window cleaner here and the refrigerator repair man. I do not have the oportunity to go back to bed til after 1:30 pm.
Anyone else out there with this problem?????

good morning ladies, another hot day in pa today. they are saying heat index around 95-103. I tell you what that meletonin stuff really really works. I have been taking it now for 5days and i don't think i have slept so good in a long time. Last night woke up only once to pee and then fell right back to sleep until 7 this morning. This is wonderful. In about an hour i will be picking up my 22 month old granddaughter for the day. She is one spunky and smart little kid. I really think these days they really know a whole lot more than our kids did at that age. She will probably wear me out today but that well be in a good way. Everyone have a good day stay cool, and i will let you know how my day went later this afternoon.

Hi, Law. Hope you aren't literally 'picking up' your granddaughter! I turned down a BUNCH of opportunities to 'play' with my nieces and nephews since surgery bec. if they fall or get hurt I can't grab them to help them out. I know they all weigh a lot more than 20 pounds! You have a good day, too. I bet you will be tuckered out by tonite. Have fun!

Philipians, I hope your doctor has reassuring news for you about the discharge. Perhaps your body was telling you that you've been overdoing, going back to work and all? Am I the only one who doesn't feel anywhere close to doing that yet? I had "the works" done on July 13th. Went out for a quick and simple dinner with a friend last night and came home exhausted and in pain. I haven't yet had a day when I haven't had to take ibuprofen at least once. I feel like such a wuss!
