Phillipians, hope you get to feeling better. Maybe you just overdid it.

Presouz, Yes! There were times when I would inhale and suck in slobber with air. Takes awhile to get over that. It was also real fun trying to sing in the church choir with all that floating around in my mouth. It's not NEAR as bad this go round.

Phillipians: know just how you feel. I felt last night like i did my first night home from the castle! I could NOT believe it. I was SO frustrated. And today at work my pins/needles were poking me like nuts. And my legs hurt probably bec. i'm using muscles at work I didn't use even when I walked my many laps each day. It is very frustrating. However, a colleague who had a hysterectomy MANY years ago (and asked wasn't I feeling so much better now? Oy oy OY) said she did not feel 'normal' for a year. So all of us on this strand are very 'young' in the course of healing and so it's to be expected I am sure. I reread the section on pain in post op and it can come and go for a long time. I will ask my OB about it a week from today. But I hear ya. I cannot believe how my abdomen feels. And when I drive there is one area that really hurts. I'm starting to think about when/where/why each pin and needle appears. Maybe I can figure it out and cut back on whatever I'm doing that is pulling on that side. Heck, I might take a pillow back out to the car, even!

Take care. I send you lots of hugs even though w/quick reply I can't post 'em. Hoping we all get some well deserved and much needed rest tonite (I will after I pick up two teens at a movie at 9:15...I could go to bed RIGHT NOW and get Dgd's hair cleaned out of the wild colors she put in at her last day in daycare)...........zzzzzzzzzzz (in my dreams)..zzzzzzzz E

Ele, it is so very comforting to come home and be able to chat with others that understand and are feeling the same way. only someone who has gone through it can truly understand. what scares me is that my pain is exactly like the pain i had before the surgery, the "endo" pain.......but now there is nothing there? Jennice mentioned adhesions but I am not sure I understand what that means. I hope she checks in tonite so we can chat on the sister chat. she too is feeling some pains.
p.s. your state fair sounds like so much fun.
Crossroads, thanks for your well wishes. I'm feeling a little down tonite.
Simplyme--I read about your friend and her surgery. I'll pray that she heals fast.

Well, I hope, Phillipians, that I don't have any of that adhesion stuff going on. Hopefully it's just 'normal' pins/needles/gas/falling out of bottom/pain. Yikes! That's what I hope. I have no experience w/surgery, so I am just hoping that is it. I can't imagine having this type of pain and exhaustion for the long term. My hat off to all of the sisters who endured this type of pain and worse for so many years prior to surgery. I cannot imagine it. I'd be a pain in everyone's side trying to not complain about it. Yes, it's nice to commiserate w/others and know we aren't alone. I was as I say shocked last night at the pain! And the pains today. And exhaustion.

Take care. Sometimes I go post on pre op and just recently sprung from the castle post op. It makes me feel good to try and lend my perspective and experiences to others who are freaking out (remember that?) prior to going to the castle and then dealing w/returning home. Sometimes I do that to take my mind off it all. I know soon I'll be so innundated grading papers I won't have much chance to post anymore. Look at me posting so many times since June. Yikes!

Hugs once more and this is it for me tonite and tomorrow I'll check in late in the day after we return from my beloved fair. I'll take it easy out there. Chug water. Eat healthy. Rest. Walk slow.

Phil446,
You are me are a lot alike. I had a lot of adhesions (scar tissue) twice on my right ovary though. This time it was removed hoping to solve my problems. I had pain in that same side until a few days ago and the first thing I thought about was scar tissue or as the drs. call it adhesions. I now have the stomach cramps on/off after I eat mostly. They have stopped this afternoon when I finally decided to take a pain pill. I have frequent bm's that are crampy. Still minor vaginal itching and some rectal itching. I mentioned the vaginal itching to my dr. and he gave me a prescrip for diflucan. I think that I may need an antibiotic because adhesion pain already is not good. What is your dr. saying, phil446?

E, you are right. We have a long way to go. I was just bragging this week about how I stopped hurting right before the 6 wk mark.

It only makes sense that you would hurt were they did the work & where they did the work is where it hurt at before or would affect those areas. So if you overdo it, you will agravate where you are healing which is where the work was which is where it hurt to begin with. (Did anyone follow that?) So if you take it easy a couple of days, & feel better, you probably just over did, but if you don't, you definately need to see your dr.
