bsister: post on sisters chat, too, bec. Jennice is worried about the swelly belly and you are proof (as am I) that it takes time and we all get it to 'swell less' depending on the situation, day, surgery, etc. I figured she wasn't alone, so it was comforting to see your post about good old swelly. Well, maybe she will check in on this side, too, and see your post.

Take care. Oh, I see there is even another page to read; maybe Jennice checked in .....sorry if I am repeating stuff, then!

Setrimacoky, nice (well, not really nice) to see the memory thing is still bugging someone else, too. Today I almost blasted right past the fast food joint i was going to to get my DD some food. If a car had been behind me I'd have been rearended to Canada. Man, I just can't think straight. And I keep finding the most disgusting errors in my syllabi. Totally wrong days and dates and saying we don't have school when we do and other stupidities. OY OY for anesthesia brain.

A good evening to you all. I'm eight weeks plus and it's pathetic how my brain is NOT operating at full power. It's embarrassing.

Simplyme-It's good to know that I'am not alone in the passward department.
Elefante-I even called the doctor again about the memory and they reasured me that it was the anesthesia. It can take months to get out of our systems.
Bsister-Yep have a swelly belly haven't had it in a wk but I did alot of pulling and pushing today.

Thanks for the anesthesia news, Setrimacoky. I know one of the hostesses even told me, but when I tell others they look at me like i'm nuts. It is frustrating. I hope I never get dementia because now I know how it's going to feel! Frustrating.

I love that story from Crossroads about the vet who felt good two years after her hysterectomy bec. maybe she went back to work 10 days after TAH. I can't believe it. And people on my surgery week thread thought I was the goofy one for walking so much. I can't believe that doc. Amazing and more power to her.

Today I tried to pretend I didn't have a hysterectomy to see how I'd feel. If I felt 'fine' I thought, 'oh, how could that be?' and/or when I got a pain in the side after going for a 1/2 hour walk in the blistering heat and a walk that included a BUNCH of steps to cross over a busy roadway from my college's park to another park.........I'd think, 'okay e you never get sideaches but hey, remember, you had a hysterectomy.' But it is true that slowly at least the physical part gets a teeny bit better.

Off I go.

I am happy the breast cancer 'wasn't'... and amazed about the appendix cancer. Absolutely amazed. I had never even thought of it; will send prayers that way.

I'm getting a knot on my left side just sitting here thinking about all this stuff! Off I go again. I've procrastinated enough w/school work.

Tomorrow if I post it's going to either be my regular 5:30ish a.m. or VERY late at night after h.s. open house. I hope I can find all the classrooms!

Oh you sisters! I mentioned knots to him last Friday (remember...he retired! and he said to keep tabs on it as it doesn't stay for very long at all. He said it's too high up for ovary issues (remember long ago when I imagined stitches/tie-offs= knots/what do I know??) and he said it could be bowel/intestinal stuff. It feels 'knotty' and doesn't hurt and my bowels move very nicely most mornings (well....not if I eat a big State Fair footlong hotdog) and so since I'm not feeling pain w/it I am just in the monitoring stage and when I see his replacement OB lady in a couple of months, if I still feel it I will definitely mention it to her.

You ladies.........I'm going to go walk a lap or two. I am happy to have your support........but I'm not calling yet. I'm listening to my body like you've all told me to do and heck....i don't even take iboprophen. If I took it each day maybe i'd feel 100 percent. I'm the kind of nut who likes to feel every little ache and pain bec. then i know how my 'original' body is doing.

Well. I'm sorry. Don't be scared for me my sisters.

Off I go!
