E,
We have all told you to just chill for a while, but u don't listen. You know that I think that u do too much when you are working or going to the fair for 13 hours. However, walking is good for every condition and i think it will help that knot. I get an occasional phanthom pain in my right ovary. Mine only bothers me when I push my hand down on it. Also, I think that I should stop sucking in my belly and walking with it in. My muscles are not ready for that. If you guys could see that video with all the flicking and pressing down on my insides and mechanical arm, laparascope, WOW. That might be more damaging than the TVH or TAH internally. Cosmetically, it heals better with 2 little slits.
I agree that I can at least suck my belly in again. Before surgery my belly was too swollen and hard.

Law,
I haven't actually done real X either. I was cleared 2 wks ago. I have tried it alone at 4 & 6 wks. Also, BF did some things (u figure it out) over the weekend. All was good. Same as before. I will do X after you tell me if it hurts.

I love that story from Crossroads about the vet who felt good two years after her hysterectomy bec. maybe she went back to work 10 days after TAH. I can't believe it. And people on my surgery week thread thought I was the goofy one for walking so much. I can't believe that doc. Amazing and more power to her.

Today I tried to pretend I didn't have a hysterectomy to see how I'd feel. If I felt 'fine' I thought, 'oh, how could that be?' and/or when I got a pain in the side after going for a 1/2 hour walk in the blistering heat and a walk that included a BUNCH of steps to cross over a busy roadway from my college's park to another park.........I'd think, 'okay e you never get sideaches but hey, remember, you had a hysterectomy.' But it is true that slowly at least the physical part gets a teeny bit better.

Off I go.
You are so right about the physical part getting better everyday. I just talked with a girlfriend who had a hysterectomy a year ago. She said it did take her the year to feel better. She also told me why my back hurt so bad afterwards. I just figured it was the position I was in. she is a RN and was in vaginal hysterectomy OR. She said they attach a weight to the cervix and another that pulls down on it. The mental picture just horrifies me and am so glad I had the anethesia!!!! I will deal with the daily brain farts

I am tired tonight. Started to drag about 5 pm.

Law you make me LAUGH. You d-a-w-g as Randy says on American Idol. All kinds of dogs, I guess; I wasn't thinkin'. Speaking of dogs, the air smells SO bad outside our townhouses. It smells like no one has scooped any you know what in years. 275 houses and I think a large number have dogs. A new HUGE German Shephard just moved in by us and i am a bit scared.

Anyway, if you guys knew how much fruits and veggies I ate for my dinner tonite you'd know why my intestines are tied up once in a while. The little walk did me good. I am going to bed, now. Teen took shower and was going to bed..........it was a quiet nite........and lo and behold a friend of hers called, so now I'm gonna start yellin' soon that it is BED time.........

You all have a peaceful evening. I'm hoping to sleep so I don't hear the weird creature noises in my walls.

It's gonna be in the forties next week. I can't wait. To be 85 degrees at 8:43 on Sept. 5 in Minnesota is global warming at its best.

SLEEP WELL SISTERS.

I went to bible study tonite with my mother. I must admit I didn't get a whole lot out of it since I was dozing off. This was my first time back since surgery. I have made it to church on Sunday before. Some days are better than others, but for the most part, I am exhasted after my full day @ work. I need some vitamins or either need to go back on caffeine (coffee, diet pepsi). At least, I sleep like a baby......Question
Y do people say someone sleeps like a baby, when they wake up every 2 hrs.....LOL

Presouz, which natural HRT are you on? I'm not on anything yet due to endometriosis. I'd like to start researching on whats best just in case i do go on in a few months. I'm taking lots of vitamins since the surgery though. No hot flashes yet thank God, but boy do my knees legs and hips hurt. I think its joint pain and we all know about my dreaded lower back pain.

Ok well one hostess pointed out its not a natural HRT, its a Remifemin it is a safe, natural alternative, I like it so far so good, its not an HRT. I did try an HRT patch and it made me a bit edgy so I took the patch off and tried this.. Read about it at Links to commercial sites not allowed per website guidelines.
I know my body aches too, but since my surgery I am taking Motrin or night time Tylenol type meds, seems to have helped my aching bones for the past few months.. the more I do the more I notice my leg and ankle swelling is coming back, it was so nice not having it for the times I was in total recovery.. Good luck!!

Jennice: 'cause babies wake up every 2 hours! They're always hungry or needing a diaper change.

Well, I feel like Ty Pennington on that Extreme Home Makeover...

gooooooooooddddddddd mmmmmooooooorrrrrrnnnnnniing Hystersisters!
It's 5:36 in the a.m. here in the Twin Cities of Mpls/St. Paul and praise the weather creatures but next week at this time my furnace will probably be stuttering along (always misfires; gas company can't even fix it so it drives me insane the entire heating season)............ I am sooo happy the cold weather is going to kick in after some storms tonite. Hooray!! That will help me heal, honestly, I believe.

Well, off I go. Lots to do to prep for classes. I need to prepare for if the computer on my school desk doesn't work again as it hasn't been since school started. I hope you all have a wonderful day. Re: sleeping: I swear I look at that clock every few hours. But that's no change from pre castle visit. I only sleep well, I think, when I have no problems, and that's pretty rare.

HAVE A WONDERFUL THURSDAY YOU LADIES. I'm always thinking about you at various spots thru out the day.

Too hot to walk

Hi all,
It is 7am here in WI and it is way too hot to walk already at this hour! My dogs will have to wait til tonight for their walk. I will go to the gym and walk on the treadmill this am before the computer fixit guy comes here to hook up my sons computer in his room now that he has moved back home.

Happy healing!

Morning,
Today is 8 wks for me. So according to society, we are all recovered at 8 wks. Shoot, even this thread will close. To some of our drs., we will recover by 12 wks. But , we all know that we have a long way to go.

I walk every day as you know. I have to if I want free parking to the Bldg. I work downtown. So I walk about 1.5 miles 5 days a week and also walk 3 days a wk. I want to start lifting, but not yet.

Presouz,
I am not going to do the iron pills like my GYN wants me to. My blood count isn't that low, but I will do a one/day or centrum.
