I am just sorry that this ever happened to me. I knew that once I did it, I would regret it. Some days, I don't, but most I do. I think that I have lost muscle mass in my belly and that it just isn't tight anymore. I also think that I may have adhesions again from the way my belly is sticking out. I knew if i got the myomectomy that it may come back as the dr. said. But a hysterectomy still doesn't mean that you are surgery free. Believe it or not, I even miss my monthly.

Not me Jennice, i will never miss having a period ever again. And i never even got it bad at all. Thats what the problem was though if i did get it, it only lasted about an hour or so. Although 1 month last year i had it all month. So anyways because i never really got it much i always had to wear a pad or liner every day. It finally feels great to feel underwear on me.

Well ladies i just started to get the bills from the hospital and anostegioligist. (spelling) Wow i will owe about 3000 dollars when it is all said and done. Better than the 27,000 it cost though. They will get a little bit of money at a time. Has anyone else got any bills yet. My Dh's insurance wasn't the greatest but it was atleast something.

Yes I have received the hospital bill but I have yet received one for the anesthesiologist and I have not received one for the uriologist. My DH swears we are paying the gyno's new boat. Especially since I am still seeing the gyno every week for a recurring problem from the surgery.

Hi there! So far my bills for the surgery are up to $37,000!!!!!!! Its nuts!
Hope everyone is okay today. My DH has been spoiling me with some massages that are super wonderful! Its making a difference with the backpain. Thank God i can have those for free (LOL)
I went to the specialist yesterday (gastroentrologist) to discuss the two lesions on the liver. He said they are nothing to worry about and actually common in women on the right lobe of the liver (whatever?) Anyway, I don't need to follow up on that until next year where they will have me do an ultrasound to see if there is change.

I got a statement from the insurance company and it was 48 grand!! YIKES! I have yet to get an actual bill so far, I paid a co pay for the hospital on the day of surgery 100.00 plus the doctors visits 25.00 co pays really adds up before and after surgery with my bladder infections and such, I do pay 550.00 per month for medical FOR JUST ME and with NO Rx, so I have earned/paid for my surgery in premiums!! heh.. I hope I have no surprises, like charging me for my meds I got while in the hospital since I dont have Rx insurance you know? one pill will be 80.00 if they have their say! I shutter to think!

Hello All!

Just checking in to say hi and stay caught up with you all! Things going good here, just working alot!

We have yet to determine total surgery cost...we've been talking about organizing them and getting paying on them...ewww not fun...we put them all in one place but no clue if all are in??? My dh is better than me when it comes to bills and stuff so I never bring it up LOL!

Funny it was mentioned but every now and then I get/feel a crazy sensation on the skin itself around my incision area...not the incision itself but the skin on both sides of it...really weird to explain...sometimes to the point I rub it and look at it like somethings there and it's not, it looks perfectly normal...hmmmmmm

Well anyway...hope you all have a good evening...I'm already in my pj's ready to chill out in front of the boob tube...feeling a lazy evening coming on for sure LOL

Talk to ya all later!

That is not the way hospital stays usually work. Any meds given while in the hospital are usually covered under major medical, not uder your prescription plan. this should all be detailed when you receive your EOB (Explanation Of Benefits) from your insurance company.

BY THE WAY, the Hyster Sister Rx card I got here has saved me a LOT!!! Wish I had of gotten it sooner!!! I saved 32.00 on my abmien alone! YIPPEE!!! 82.00 down to 50.00 still costly but a good night sleep is worth it, I have never had sleeping pills before last week, some nights have been bliss!! I save at least 5 bucks in everyone, and walmart having their 4.00 program, is a life saver too, you can look up the 4.00 meds on their website..

What is the Hyster sister rx card? I too am on Ambein. Even though I think Lunesta works better. Lunesta was way to expensive.

I have already paid $5,500.00 out of pocket with my insurance. It's killing us.

So true!! One week before surgery it all started for me. The first was my blood pressure now I am on BP meds. One issue after another after this surgery. How I just can't wait until I am normal again. I too regret this surgery, but at the time they thought I had ovarian cancer so I had no choice. I never thought I would be feeling like this at this point in my life. I pulled my first 9 hour day today on my feet and I have never felt so terrible. I can barely stay awake but if I go to bed too early I will wake up at 3am and not fall back to sleep. Even on sleep meds!!!!! (crazy).
