Update

I also did not know that people would still be posting. It was great to hear from all of you. Good to see that everyone is doing better. (that doesn't mean perfect all the time).

I ditto everything everyone said. I also believe fibroids eat calories! What the heck? I'm training for the local 60 mile breast cancer walk in two weeks. I'm walking 30-40 mile weekends and I am pretty much on a 1 pound increase a week! HA! Hey, does anyone notice swelly belly went from an afternoon things to an aroundtheclock thing? YIKES.

As for PMS. I still get PMS because I kept my ovaries. Obviously, the physical effects are gone but I do notice my moodiness and hot flashes. When I get in a mood I check the calendar and count out the weeks......checks out every time!

I also have lots of numbness but having had a section 25 years ago, I know it just takes a very long time. I still have bruising like pain just under the skin on the left side of my belly. It was where I had the worst of the pain all along. It is getting better but just bothers me. I have figured out that anything touching it sets it off to hurt again. Seatbelts, jeans, fanny packs. I feel like such a grandma. I have to make sure everything like panties and fanny packs sit at my natural waist. Thanks God for Yoga pants, the only thing I can wear a little lower. I am still convinced that 5 years from now I am going to still be having this pain, insist on an ultra sound and they will find they left gauze or something in me.

I don't think anyone brought up sex. So here's a candid update. I was really scared. At 8 weeks we gave it a try and it was very uncomfortable and my tummy muscles really hurt for a week. Anyway..........it really freaked me out. We went away this last weekend to get out of the smoke and breathe some fresh air. Long story short.....I'M BAAAACK! I've got to make up for lost time and very happy to do so.

That's all I have. Thanks for posting....it made me feel good about my new normal.

Okay, I am here to update and give good information. I WENT to the doctor today. NOT a typo. Really needed to. If anyone remembers why from my earlier post. She upped my estrogen (like I thought) and took me right off Ambien!! She gave me a month supply of samples of Lunesta. I see her again, yes again in 2 weeks. She said that Ambien has so many side effects. I had taken Lunesta before and it didn't cause me any problems but my INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD NOT COVER IT!! So I had to take the generic Ambien. It has more side effects. Also I think we are working on the hormone thing. I may not be getting enough. Let's hope I am happy again soon!

Well it's about time Byfaith you went to the Dr. I thought you said you weren't going back until after the first of the year. I hear hormones are nothing to play around with.
So i'm glad you finally went. For me i'm on prozac so i can't tell if my hormones are screwing up or not. No hot flashes at night. The only thing i really have a hard time with is my memory. It seems since the surgery i can't remember crap about anything. I forget what i was doiing or was about to do. And that really bothers me. Cuz i'm always feeling like i'm forgetting to do something. Or even where i'm driving to. I wonder if i need to be put on ritalin or something I just can't concentrate.

I think it was Jannice said she would wait until after the 1st of the year. But anyway, my Dr. said that a lot of times after the surgery and after the healing pain is over that many women get depressed. She said due to the surgery. When you think of the amount of hormone lost all at once. Especially if you have been producing good hormone before the surgery. She also said that if we can't fix it with hormones then she will look at a antidepressant. But I see her again in 2 weeks and she thinks she may prescribe a little testosterone also for me.

My memory is also not as good. My mind is not as quick. I just don't feel as sharp as I did before. Strange what we go through.

I hate the brain fog

I have to write every thing down and then forget the note.
I will be driving down the road and forget where I am going. Get in a panic mode sometimes. I never remember where I park my car anymore. I recite it over and over before going in to the store but once out, I am lost.

Try using your record on your cell phone for where you parked, or text message it to yourself .. or like me I only park in the same general area with every store trip... or yeah, I too forget.. I go to a room in the house and forget what I went in there for, its crazy!

But on a good note, my body pain or muscle pain (whatever I should call it?) is getting a little better. Still on no hormones.........nothing, zilch for me.
