I hate the way you cant keep bananas very long before they get TOO RIPE! So I came up with a way to keep bananas in the house always and a way to consume them that is yummy!! I buy as many bananas as I want because they will never go to waste now. When my bananas get perfectly ripe, I peel them and break them into about 2 inch pieces and put them in a large zip lock baggie laying kind of flat (at first) and put them in the freezer. Once they are frozen you don't have to lay them flat any more because they wont stick together, even if they do stick you can always bang the baggie on the counter. I use the frozen bananas to make smoothies, no ice needed, put in a frozen bananas worth or more in to a blender add non fat milk to cover the bananas and a touch if vanilla extract if desired and a GREAT way to eat/drink your banana! I do this for every day for my DD along with her breakfast. Sometimes I even add frozen strawberries to the bananas and that is so yummy too!! Give it a try!!

Yep that's what I do too! But I do it for me and my son. I blend my chocolate protein mix with soy and add a frozen banana. YUMM... most of the time that's my breakfast.

I have been researching the saliva testing info and have not ordered it as yet. I don't know if I want to spend the money or if I want to just ask my doctor to refer me to a specialist who KNOWS about HORMONES...the cause and effect of them not being balanced. I am thinking about phoning my doctor tomorrow. What do you think she will say??

I must say Phil the muscle and aching was my first horrible effect of not being on estrogen. I don't know how you stood it for so long. My legs ached so bad (I'll never forget it). Now I just need to be balanced out. I still do not sleep. I am more emotional then I used to be. I am working hard at holding it together until I can resolve it. I do know from others it takes time. It has been 4 1/2 months since surgery. Not long enough. I have been told it does take a long while before we get balanced. Especially anyone who has had a full hyster (all ovaries removed).

I had both ovaries removed and its been really hard not being on any estrogen. the muscle and joint pain is becoming unbearable. the initial idea was for me not to go on estrogen because of the endometriosis. I am supposed to wait 6 months before I decide to go on anything, but I cant take this much longer.

Wow! 6 months is so long. I also had endo. I waited only 1 month before going on estrogen. I could not stand it. My OBGYN/Oncologist felt she got it all out and said that I should not have a problem being on estradial. You really have be going through allot Phil . I hope your doctor helps you out.

I bet it makes a difference that you had laparoscopic surgery and I had a abdominal one. She can see everything with mine and with yours maybe they can leave some endo behind. You think?

Byfaith,
I agree. I had the lap surgery, but I still have my cervix and 1 ovary. The full ab cut can view everything. Sometimes, I think they left some adhesions behind. But I rather go back later because overall I prefer the Lap surgeries. I had the c-section is 1988 and althoug it wasn't that bad, it was still a big cut.
Phil,
I did agree with u also about HRT. But your situation is not getting better and u r so young to be hurting like that. Although, I still get an occasional crampy here and there, it is no constant. Mainly, my tummy gets upset. Your dr. couldn't leave in an ovary like I have so u would still get most of ur hormones?

I went to the doctor yesterday and apparently there was one stitch left over to hold up the bladder sling. My body was trying to reject it and that is why it kept oozing. Doctor is pretty sure I am healed now! Yeah!

that makes sense byfaith. it was completely laparscopic. I am looking forward to the blood results and for my visit later this month. The pain is sometimes unbearable and my quality of life is certainly very different since the surgery. Thank God for a very understanding husband.
