Happy Birthday to you. I'm feeling great. It seems like everyone is going back to the doctor sooner than me. I'm not going until Tues. the 24th to get my stiches out. I wonder why so long? Other than that I'm doing great.

hi sisters! I dont go until next wednesday for my path report and post op visit. I am trying really hard to be a good patient until then. I posted yesterday that I am having a little discharge (very light pink). It didnt start until 8 days postop. is this normal?? I am also having a little more pain now than during the first week. Is this okay?

Doing okay. Had my surgery on Friday, July 13th. Finally came home on the 18th. Sore, but not too much pain. Still feel like I am in a whirlwind. I can't believe it's been a week. Have to give myself antibiotics via PICC for two weeks. Very weak and feel quite useless around the house. My wonderful husband is home doing housework and taking care of our 7 month old. It is so hard not to be able to pick him up and play with him.

Dear Livestrongggal and Gemini3, thanks so much for your lovely notes. I am so touched and thank you for your care, prayers and concern it means so much.

It is strange to be here and have odd things go wrong and not get answers cos of the language and cultural barrier, we can't comprehend that people this qualified do not speak English. Maybe a fault of ours to assume??!!! That was the scarey thing, not knowing why I had the bad pain!

Have been up all day and cooking a Beef Bourginon as I type this...so you can tell I am much better.

Thank you all so much,

Hugs and have a good day everyone xxxxxxxxxx

had my surgery same day as yours. my dr. said don't be surprised if i have light pink spotting a week to 2 weeks later because of stitches inside desolving. The pain i'm not so sure about he didn't mention that. So far for me i haven't had anything happen accept a yeast infection. but otherwise feel good.

unbrokenpraise! Now is your time to rest. I know that it must be tough when you have a 7 month old.

Sending you well wishes for a speedy recovery!

I had my surgery (abd. hyst) on July 15. I am doing well. I only took motrin yesterday, today I haven't taken any pain medication. I think the thing that has helped with my recovery is that I walked the next day. I can actually go around the block now. Now I have to make sure I don't do too much since I am feeling good. I do get tired which I guess is my bodies way of telling me to slow down.

My question is, does anyone out there work in an office, and when do you plan on returning to work. I had thought that I would be out 4-6 weeks, but now I'm wondering if I should go back sooner. I am a secretary so much of my day is spent on the computer. I am thinking of going back half a day beginning the 3rd week. What are the rest of you doing about going back to work?
