Prolapse

Hi Sunny,
Did your dr. say that it helps to keep your cervix for the possibility of prolapse? I was thinking the same thing but I had 2 other doctors tell me that I should not keep my cervix. I hope I did'nt make a mistake. I have been thinking and wondering about this so much. I won't see my Dr. for awhile to ask questions. I had the same as you with endometriosis and adenomyosis with a large possible cancer tumor on my right ovary (ended up being benign).

I was wondering about the spotting too. It makes sense that it's coming from the stitches though. Didn't even think about that.

I was wondering if anyone else is having memory problems? Is it because of the anesthesia? My surgery was on July 13, TAH. I was writing an e-mail to a friend and mentioning that my husband is turning 50 in October and I couldn't remember if it was Oct. 20 or 21. This past week there were other simple things that I just couldn't remember.
My progress since my surgery has been great. I only stayed on pain pills a couple days after I came home. I do feel nauseated during the day, and I'm guessing that is normal too.

Up and moving!

The cookie story is TOO funny! I've made steaks on the grill, but nothing that involved measuring. I'm impressed you even tried it and thrilled you succeeded.

It's great to hear some of you are out and about today. It is kind of scary being out by myself. The grocery store is weird because I really do feel old and decrepit but I know it's getting better. I am wearing some normal clothes, finally. The gas pains are still the worst there is. I had to ride home an hour from the airport yesterday and thought I was going to go through the roof before I got home. Gas pains, sitting too long - yuck. Better today, though. I'm off to lunch with DH then going to do a little "me" stuff before heading back to nap.

Oh, I definitely do the pillow thing under the seatbelt. It's comfy and it helps me remember to get out of the car s-l-o-w-l-y!

Take care,
H

Pillowcase: nice touch

Yes, the pillowcase is a nice touch under the seatbelt! And a good reminder to slow down. I am jealous of all of you out there wearing your regular 'street clothes.' Even though I had TVH and not TAH my belly is disgusting! I can't suck it in. I can't wear 99% of my big pants or jeans. And I mean I usually buy them w/lots of room in the tummy. Phooey~ frustrating. I have done 7 laps today so far, with just three to go. We've got air/heat alerts out for our area thru the end of the week, so it's going to be hard to walk. Either go early, go late, or just go one lap at a time midday. Cloud cover has helped today except for trapping all the pollutants.

Ohhhhhh I wish I had some of those nummy cookies. I ate brown rice, red beans and my DD's pico de gallo today for lunch (chopped tomato, jalapeno, mango, lime juice and onion and cilantro.........nummmmmmy....but I want those cookies)..........

Cheers and later.................E.

I am having short term memory problems. My husband had an appointment and wanted to take a nap and asked me to wake him up in an hour. I forgot! Completely!! I have had a few other short term glitches. At the hospital I forgot what I said to my daughter. But that goes without saying..... My husband who has been doing it all came home after work today with 102 temp throwing up and diarrhea. YIKS... Now I am taking care of him. I feel so bad for him. We own a delivery business and he works from 2:30am-12:30pm. He had to carry a bag on the truck and get sick while he drives. There is no one to take his job.

Sorry to hear about your husband being sick. Is there anyone that can help you? Remember, don't do too much!
My mother in law started living with us in March and she was away for a week after my surgery (staying with her daughter), but they weren't getting along, so she is back with us. She is 91, so now my husband has to take care of her and me! I feel so bad for him, he is such a great guy.

It's good to see all the memory problems. I was teasing one of the sisters on our 'chat' group about mixing up labor day/memorial day.............it's good to know i'm not the only one w/the memory issues!

I had a complete on July 9th. Mine was abdominal and they had to take my ovaries. a lot of pain afterwards. I was in the hospital for 3 days. They haven't started me on any hormones, unsure if my doc plans on that. So far Im doing okay emotionally, I get teary eyed every now and then. Any idea how long this will last? My pain is much better then it was two weeks ago, although still there at times.

Awhhh ~ We'd love to share some of the cookies ~ the whole 4x's (lol) batch was made as peanutbutter cookies minus the peanutbutter....I then divided it into halfs and added mini-m&m's and the swril white/dark choco. nestles morscles...then the other half used part crunchy peanutbutter/part regular...must admit they are very ummmy!

My sons girlfriend (who lives with us) bought a whole bag bing cherries last week and they got pushed back then my mom just dropped off whole new bag yesterday....well we searched the net and found a delicous sounding bing-cherry pie recipie...she made it today and OMG it's good!!!!!!!!!

I am been a very bad girl eating all this stuff...and to think 1 week out of surgery (abdominal to boot) I wore the jeans that I wore to the concert the night before my surgery...

Dang, no wonder I have gas pains from h*ll!

Saturday I must have had 3 helpings fresh broc.and caulif. with dip...it was really tasting good...but still not understanding why gas keeps hanging on...wouldn't you think once it's initially thru it thru? Are our bowels still irritated or something? I head they completely take your bowels out, do the work, then put them back in OMG!

I am so glad I'm not the only one or I'd be PANICING FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm according to dr. orders allowed to drive starting Wed. don't feel I'll have any problems and not nervous bout it but will be praying no gas pains hit! Each day I think maybe they'll be gone today but there not! Other than that no complaints whatsoever...I also feel lucky I don't have any of the bleeding you all talked about, tiny bit of brownish only when I wipe...not a nusiance at all

I do know one thing, I am treating myself to a whole new stock of cute/hot undies and for once in my life they are not turning into period undies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone get an explaination on the gas pains from the actual doctor???????????????????????????????????
