Hi Hurrydog, I am enjoying your positive post today! It lifts my spirits. I usually spend days setting up my classroom because i like to change things around each year. This year I'm going to take it a little easier and not worry too much about the set up.

I've had a pretty active day. My cute son who is 18 and just graduated highschool "invited" me to lunch!!! I thought it was adorable of him. He did the driving and ordering and paid the bill and I was his princess for the day. He then took me to Target so that I could walk around a bit.

I am waiting for him to pick me up which in man term is whenever! Are you the one going around picking up stuff and dragging chairs. I haven't even vacuum yet. That is what DS is for......LOL I will sure miss him when he goes back to college. He has been a great help when all the visitors slowed down.
Relief, I have been icing and maybe I shouldn't have. It just felt good when I had some discomfort on that right side. I have been using the gel packs, not real ice. I figured if that band they sell could be used y not the gel packs. Matter, of fact, I might buy the swelly band anyway as my way of giving back. The site has really, really been a blessing to me in my decision.

That was sweet of your son Phil. My ds 17 is sleeping the day away. He spent the whole night rescuing toads from our pool. They kept jumping in to swim, then finding out they couldn't get out they just rode around on the navigator hose hollering for help. I'm getting my camera ready tonight, that would be a good one for Americas Funniest Animals.

Bladder repair progress..

Elefante64, I also had a bladder repair and feeling as you are. I had a TAH with multiple repairs and it was all worth it due to the wonderful result of my bladder repair. Had my procedure on the 9th as well and feeling about the same as you. Taking it VERY slow and with caution. I figure I am worth it before I go back to the rat race. Continued success with your recovery.

I tell EVERYONE, I just had surgery just like u do. You are right about doors to businesses, I will just wait and catch someone or ask a young man to open the door for me since I just had SURGERY! People are pleasant here in virginia and are happy to help. Is that phillipian dragging chairs and working already? If so, she got u beat.

Hi, Boss Lady. I didn't have any official bladder repair; other sisters have. However, I have noticed a big difference in the 'operating mode' of my bladder. Maybe my uterus was pushing on it without me knowing it. I was not diagnosed with prolapse or anything like that. I do notice, however, that I can retain more urine and not 'go' as often, so I am thinking, 'wonderful!'............we will see if it lasts. I try to do kegels when I think of it.

Thanks for writing. I feel like a sloth when I am not walking. I will try to take it slow and a hug back at you. Have a good evening! E.

I am not going to be dragging any chairs. I am going to do the best to follow what my doc says to me. He has never proven wrong in the past, so I'm trying to be an 'angel'.... it was hard not driving for two weeks when my neighbor was driving after one week when she had HER hysterectomy AND a bladder repair!! Nope, no chair dragging for me. I had my DD who is 14 move that big heavy garbage bin and recycling bin today for me. I'm trying to be a good girl except for my excessive compulsive walking.

Let us know how that appt. goes w/the doctor tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you. E.
