Law, Gemini,
What do you do that you lift that much? I work pt (2 nights/wk) at kohl's. Even thought I don't lift nothing but intimate apparels, it is still a lot of walking and bending. I will ask my dr. about that on the 10th for my last post-op visit. I am due to go back to work on the 13th at my desk job, but I may just work one night at kohl's for a while.

My latest scary dream was that next to my belly button this huge giant ball started to grow on the outside and it looked like a chunk of meat!!!!!!! Oh my goodness i was dying in my dream and it was so relieving to wake up and see that it was just a dream. Another dream was that I had a hole that was turning yellow and this thick yellow liquid was shooting out of it!! I havent had any of these dreams in about 5 days, thank God!

My dreams recently....

For those of you sisters from Mpls (I notice a couple) I keep dreaming and reliving every inch of the 35W bridge. It makes me nuts.

jennice, i work in the middle school cafeteria as assistant supervisor. So when the deliveries come in during the week we have to put away at least 200-500 cases about twice aweek. And i'm head cook so i do most of the lifting in the ovens and take them out to put in the warmers. I'm on my feet all day and constantly lift 20 or more pounds all day long. Nothing is ever less than 10lbs for me. So it is very strenuous work for us. So I need to be put on light duty for at least until the end of September.

I know exactly what you mean. My daughter drives that bridge everyday. She is pretty upset also about the whole thing.

Happy Sunday evening sisters! I've been feeling really well since Tuesday of this week. I almost feel 'normal' at times throughout the day, but then get reminded that I'm not quite there yet. I went in to work today for 5 hours today (some things you just can't do from home). Unfortunately, my boss came in (on a Sunday - who'd have thought!). Of course, he starts digging around about how soon I'm coming back since I'm there now. I stood my ground (for the most part) and told him my doctor will not relase me until he's seen me again, which isn't until Friday, August 17 which means no chance of coming back until Monday, August 20 (still a week early). He was visibly PO'd about it! I felt like jumping up and saying, "Look Mister, I just had 6 organs removed from my body and a whole lot of repair work done, you ungrateful #ss!" What is it with him? I've been working from home since the Monday after my surgery, which I didn't have to do. It was a courtesy to him to try and not let anything get behind. I even went out and bought a new laptop because I knew I wouldn't be able to sit at my desk computer for long. Now, I'm sorry I did it all! Anyone know an employer looking for an accountant?!

Sorry ladies. I know that was quite a vent. Thanks for listening. I feel much better now.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

I had a weird dream too. I was having sxxxxx with my husband, but it wasn't my husband it was his twin (he doesn't even have a twin) but I thought it was him and I yelled out "Wait, we are not supppose to have sxxxx yet until week 6). Then I realized it was his twin and I had the worse pain because the stickes broke open. Well then I woke up and I was really in pain. So I got up because I didn't know if I was really in pain or if it was a dream pain and not really a pain. Then I wondered if I had this dream because I was having pains and maybe that was what started it.
Well the next morning I didn't have any pains, so I guess it was just the dream and the dream felt so real that it made me have real pains.
Does all that make sense?

Good for you, Sandlover! I can't believe you even purchased a new laptop. The firm should be paying for THAT. Accountants are very employable. Try not to stress too much, but I'm sure it's hard to control it now that 'he's seen you in the office' and thinks you are perfectly normal. Too bad everyone can't see our insides, eh?

Byfaith, tell your DD I totally relate. I can't get the bridge out of my mind (every single inch/every entrance and exit from both sides) and I can't get out of my mind how my DD/granddaughter crossed it every day and often at 'that time'.......what an OBSESSION. It got my mind off all my other problems for a while.

Okay, tonite i have a little jabby pain in my collarbone/lower neck area. It is SO annoying. It started when I was walking outside and it just happened again. I think it's from chugging cold tea, maybe? Ouch. No cramps, though. And my swelly belly is not so swelly anymore. Tomorrow marks the four week anniversary of my trip to the castle and surgery. I hope never to experience surgery again.

A good evening to you all..............continue to heal. Ouch crazy neck needle, go away I say!

E.

law1961, please be super careful at the beginning of this school year. It cant be that strenous for you until you are further along in your recovery. I'm dreading having to go in and set up my room this week. we had our surgeries on the same day.

Yes, Law, I agree w/Phillipians. What does 'light duty' mean? Does it mean 'no' lifting or ??? How will you know what counts as 20 pounds or not? If 'nothing is ever less than 10'... how could you do it even prior to the end of September?

Just shopping drives me crazy. I'm always trying to figure out what the weight of everything is. Sometimes I even hop on the scale (ugh) w/ and without items to see what they weigh. It's hard. I still don't get a cart at the supermarket. I just walk in and get a couple of items and that's it. Luckily i live close to two stores so i can get there easily and buy a couple of things at a time.

Good evening to you all. Maybe my memories of my four week anniversary and 36 hour experience at the castle will supercede all my other memories that haunt me tonite as I try to get some sleep~!
