Bladder Pain 15 days post op

Until yesterday my recovery has been going well, with exception to hemorroid. BTW I recommend prescription for them : Anusol-HC, worked within 1 day. Haven't had any bleeding or other pain to speak of.

But yesterday I started having some discomfort around my bladder, almost like pressure, pain level 3-4, livable. Went to bed with a pain killer to help. This morning woke up to go pee & had a very sharp stabbing pain in my bladder that felt like a knife going through it and into my vaginal opening. Still having sharp stabbing pains, but not near as severe. I'm assuming this has something to do with the TVT. Is my bladder just recovering from the scope? A UTI? The only pain I've had is the pinching just before I quit peeing. I've read this is normal & nothing to worry about.

Wende, I had a very similar pain 8 days post op. My doctor said it was a UTI and prescribed Macrobid for it. I have not had the pain since. You might want to give your doctor a call.

I had a UTI. Doc said it went away but it still feels like my bladder is bruised and it stings to go sometimes. I think it might all be part of the recovery period. I hope I don't have another UTI.
