Hi ladies!
I'm going to drive tomorrow. I need to get to the teacher store and get some decorations for my classroom. On Tuesday I'm going into the office to work on the gradebook software to get it set up. That will be the first time I have to "think." I hope I can do it. I have been trying to get a start on lesson planning but I just can't concentrate.

The last three nights I have slept through the night. I cut out my afternoon nap. I did, however, get in bed to rest with a cup of coffee and my favorite TV show, "Charmed." That helped me to not sleep but the relaxing is nice. I feel like a lady of leisure and I do dread the day that I'll be back to work.

Hope everyone's recovery is going well!

I hate Costco

Ok, I don't know what I was thinking going to Costco with the fam this morning. Well I thought hey I can get an outing and walking done all at the sametime. However I didn't stop to think of all the stupid rude people that would be at Costco cutting in front of me, getting irritated because I was moving slow or letting ones letting the kids run willy nilly everywhere and making me suddenly jerk the car to a stop an run my poor belly into it.
UUUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

So I am home now and staying home and never what to go out again. I have taken a pain pill and some motrin and I am going to go into napville now.

Thanks for the vent.
Love and s

Stephanie

Thank you for sharing that! I will be sure to avoid coming close to people while I am out. I know my outing will involve the drugstore because my DD is so excited that I am going to drive.

Yeehah!

Hey systers!
I feel much better today. Went church, prepared to teach bible class to 2-16yr olds. Since no kiddos came to Sunday school, I got to sit in the adult class, then worship for an hour. Afterwards my niece and her husband were visiting from Billings so we went out to lunch. I was gone about 5 hours! I'm wiped out, but at least I feel like I am back into society!!

Those of you who wanna go back to work already....WHY? :wowee:
Those of you who are starting back this week, OH MY!
You are strong women. :clap1: I was only gone from my couch, 5 hr, I am exhausted. I hope you will take it easy this week at work.

Here is a hint, somebody else on this site suggested. Before leaving for an outing, take some Tylenol before you go, if it works with your meds. It really does help you stay on top of things till you are back in the cushioned saddle again.

i hate costco

Stef-you have got to stop with the hilarious posts I am P.S. you have a private message...

I thought I took it easy yesterday (2 car rides, a one hour get together, and unloaded and loaded w/d), and a very anger filled evening because the kid broke the driver's side car door handle on the outside (I don't even want to know how). I guess the anger was at myself because if I had the independence back I'd have gone out there myself and I'd still have 2 car door handles. Anyway, swelly belly is back, and I'm out of meds, and the ibuprofen isn't working and it's sunday so I can't call the Dr. So I think I will just sit here on the couch. Thank for the vent......

Hey everyone,
Sounds like things are going well (othe than Costco and car door handles!). I had date night Friday night with hubby and was exhausted when I got home, but couldn't sleep! Watched What Not to Wear instead of sleeping. I went to church this morning and taught my ladies Sunday School, which was great after two weeks out! My ladies really took care of me, too. I had supper brought to my house every night for almost 2 weeks!! I find that I can only do one major thing a day...after that, I need a nap. The hot flashes are killing me, but a lady at my church has a book that some dietary changes you can make that may help. I'll let you all know if it works. Have a good day, systers!

Stephanie,
When I went shopping for the "crazy dayz sidewalk sales" on Sat. My DD laughed at me because I was holding my hands clasped in front of my belly to ward off anybody who might carelessly back up in front of me. She said I looked totally traumatized and tragic. I thought it would look better than carrying that pillow in front of me... oh well. At least we giggled about that.
Speaking of which, why is it still hard to walk, talk and chuckle at the same time? When I did that she just laughed harder making me laugh harder. My tummy was swollen and ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I am so there with you all on the rude people out and about! I finally decided to give driving a try today. I first drove the library to drop off my books, then decided I was feeling okay enough to continue on to the Dollar Tree. OMGoodness people can be SO rude! I walk with my arms guarding my belly, too. It may look funny, but oh well. Can't look any worse than me going out in PJ pants and a t-shirt! lol I still have the swelly belly thing going on, too. I wore some denim shorts on our outting Friday night (4 hours total) and I was way uncomfortable. The shorts were too big before surgery, but since I'm swollen, they're actually kinda tight. So, I'm back to either dresses or PJ pants. After my adventure to Dollar Tree, I decided saving tax on my daughter's school supplies wasn't enough incentive to brave the WalMart crowd. I'll go another time... hopefully when it's not too crowded. Like WalMart is EVER not crowded.

Smile, Ladies! I read an article on here that said at the end "Recovery requires patience". That's my new mantra (and also my headline on MySpace). lol It's a nice daily reminder to take it slow!

Barn- OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY!! Found 2 hydrocodone from another surgery!!!!!!!!!!! I took 1/2 right away, layed down and put ice pack on swelly belly. Will save the other 1 1/2 to get me through the night and then IMMEDIATELY call the Dr. to find out about the 'rip' sensation I talked about earlier and find out if she will give me just five more pills for emergencies, because I'm sure that I will screw up by "thinking" it was an easy day several more times during this "experience" notice the lack of adjectives. Thanks for the concern, no one else truely understands. BTW, my dog (who has been right beside, behind, or in front of me since I got home) has HORRENDOUS gas. Now I know what my hubby must have endured
