Dear Christie,

will keep you in my prayers. thank you for your response. It helps to know what you are going through is not in your head and imagined. my doctor seemed to think I should not have pain or be sore even though he kept saying it would be 4 + months for recovery and that he did extensive surgery. Go figure the comment of not being sore.

thanks again. I do lift it to the Lord, but I also loose sight.
God Bless

Then if I do fall asleep, when I wake up about 10;00 or 11:00 I feel so guilty! My house is a mess and laundry needs to be done and etc.!!! But nothing is! It takes everythign I own to get a bath and get dressed for Dks to come home from scool at 2:30 PM! Dinner??? Whats dinner?? Ha! Sometimes I do cook though. I try! Sleep deprivation is not a good thing!! I am so overwhelmed by everything! And I just dont know where to begin! Baby steps take forever! I am so tired! Just doing small things takes everythign I own! I got my esterogen raised to 1MG, was hoping that would help me more. Maybe I need to give it more time! Please say a prayer for me! The hot flashes and mood swings are kicking my butt too! Gees oh peets!! Now i know what yo-yo feels like! LOL You all take care! Be good to yourselves!! God BLess!!

Yes Surgery I hear you! I thought it was all in my mind too! And even before i had my surgery.Seemed no one would listen to me! I have been sick for years, and i have seen many doctors. I have no insurance so i can only go to the clinics. No specialist or anything unless i pay full price up front. So it was really hard to find a REAL doctor to help am and believe me! But God is good!! And he came through with a doctor to hear me and run some tests! I had a very enlarged uterus, cysts and little tumors, on my ovaries and my tubes and my uterus!Doctor told me i had at least 40 on each ovary! He said my usterus lineing was growing into my uterus also! Its your body and you know your body better then anyone! Everyone heals different and in there own time. So be good to yourself! Dont overdo it!! You only have one chance to heal right! And it really does take about 4 to 6 months to heal completely!! It takes about 6 to 8 weeks to start feeling better, somewhat normal! Whatever normal is, I have no clue! LOL There is light at the end of the tunnel!!! I am praying for you too! God is good all the time! When I loose sight I pray! God Bless!

Christie,

Why we are up at this time is crazy.
I am a Christian and a homemaker. DH and I have 5 precious children 34 to 22. We have 3 granddaughters and 1 grandsonl. I was watching our 3 year old grandson for our daughter when she had to go back to work. I really miss him during this time of recovery.
Thank you again for your words of encouragement.
I am new to this site and am not sure how to use it. I have not been computer literate other than art programs I use for our business. I noticed I could make you a friend, but I have no clue how that works.

Will look forward to keeping in touch.

Hi Jamdigi,

No, we don't know the sex of my cousin's baby...she's only about 4 weeks right now...not due til April 11. She had an ultrasound and it was so cute...the baby was the size of a peanut!!

I hope your GD is like my daughter was for my mom...she was a little PRISS! She loved wearing dresses, playing with dolls, cooking in the kitchen with mom, and believe it or not, her first word was "SHOE"!! Haha, We called her "Baby Imelda" - remember Imelda Marcos? When she died, she had closets full of shoes!!!!! Everytime I took her shopping, we came home with a new pair of shoes!!! Thankfully baby shoes are cheap!!!

LOL, enjoy! Christi, you ARE i my prayers. I laid in bed this morning praying for all of my sisters. God knows who you are. My doctor put me on Cymbalta about 3 weeks ago. I just told him that I couldn't get motivated at home, that I was interested in anything, and that I would push away everyone who loves me. And with school starting back and along with grad school, he thought it was important for me to get my head above water for about 6 months. I'm doing better, although I've had a big setback this week. So I'm hoping things will settle down!!

Well, I'm off to get ready for work. UGH! Thankfully this was a short week. Although lesson planning for two grade levels is going to eat up my entire Saturday, from now til the end of the school year! BLAH!!!!!

fragile balance

jamdigi and Jesusfreak, Sleep is a fragile thing for me also. Thankfully, I don't have insomnia as often as I did in the early days of our recovery, but at least once or twice a week there is a problem. I think my estrogen patch is working pretty well but on days that I have had more than the usual stress, it doesn't seem to be strong enough. In all fairness, before surgery I would have probably been restless on those days too.
The difference now is:
I cannot stay in bed
It is as if the bed is my enemy. I have to get up. Walk around, lounge in the recliner and so on. Before I would just be restless and prayerful until I fell back to sleep. These sleepless nights have brought me some wonderful moments of peace in prayer though.

Tonight, I am supposed to attend a Ladies Retreat. I have decided that since it is only 15 miles from home, I will come back here for the night and go back up in the morning. That way, if I can't sleep, I won't disturb any of my roommates up there. YUK. Oh well, at least I have that option...otherwise, I would be tempted to skip the whole thing and there's no fun in that!

HI Christie I see our surgery dates are the same! Well Sisters, I CANT SLEEP EITHER!!! I NEVER slept so well as I did my first week out of the hospital, I had no worries in the world, I had planned ahead and paid all the bills, painted the much needed walls, cleaned out my garage and closets and draws did any little repairs needed to be done, even installed me a little white handicap bar by my toilet to lift my body off the toilet in a straight fashion not to tear my stitches, I hung up 2 new wonderful hunter Douglas black out shades in the bedrooms, wow, not to mention getting caught up on work as much as I could since I work from home, I didnt want it calling me, I did work a few minutes my 1 day home from castle I did have to take 2 orders, but it was back to bed for a week and sleep sleep sleep.. I was careful to just do hardly anything for 2 weeks.. the start of my second week I had to drive my self to the doctor to get my staples out. And she took a lab for a Bladder infection due to I complained about an order when I urinated, not sure if it was the meds? Turned out it was a BI and I had to DRIVE TO Wal-Mart to get my meds, so after that it was pee pee pee all night from the meds and all the water I had to drink.. I want to sleep like I did my first week back I had not had a recuperative sleep in years due to my female problems.. after seeing how great I felt with a weeks worth, I want it again. What can we do????

I am on hormone therapy, and not sure how its affecting me, if it is at all! Ha! My hormones were messed up really bad before my surgery, so right now I really cant tell. And the sleep deprivation probably adds to that too! So I dont know!!! Still having mood swings and am short fused as DH would say!SO I am trying to work on that too!! It really does take alot of time to get healed, and back to whatever normal is! Ha! So keep praying!! And I will too!! In Jesus Name we are healed!! Amen!! Talk to you soon! God Bless!!

Barnabusa

Barnabusa I am praying for you!! I had a breat biopsy done several months ago! they did a boob squish cause I had liquid comming out of my breasts. On my boob squish they found these things called microcalsifications, which can turn into cancer. My doctor had to refer me to a surgeon, that took several weeks, I did not know about the microcalsifications in my left breast until I got see the surgeon! Then I had to wait a few more weeks for the biopsy to be done!! All this time I am waitng scared out of my mind!! And wonderign why they dont hurry up and get this done! Then after the biopsy was finaly done, I had to wait for a few more weeks to find out the results!! I am a christian and I do have faith in my Jesus! I had to PRAY PRAY PRAY!!! I was a wreck to say the least!! Then the day I went for my test results, I didnt sleep night before, didnt eat, could hardly talk. All this to find out I did not have cancer!!! Praise God!! I do not think anyone should ever be sent a letter about this kind of thing!! It needs to be done in person!! And in a very sensitive way! I am praying for you too my sister!! Jesus is the mighty healer! I will be thinking about you!! God Bless You!!

P.S. I had to have my left breat mammoed about 20 times too!! Think they need to get better boob squishers!!!
