Hi Barnie, Karen...

I'm sorry for the struggles you two are feeling. I wish (then again, maybe NOT ) that I could fully understand what you both are going through.

Karen, feeling like you shouldn't be a part of society is how I felt before school started in September. Knowing that I was walking into a classroom of both second AND third graders, PLUS taking two graduate classes, doing my practicum in the spring, AND continuing with my duties at home were all WAY more than overwhelming!

I just didn't want to exist! Well, my doctor put me of Effexor, and it has definately helped. Not that I WANT to be on the drug, but he said let's do it until school gets into full swing, and you've got graduate school under control. When I went back 8 weeks later, I asked if I could stay on it until the end of the school year, and after spring semester. He agreed. Thank God, because last night I had my FIRST mid-term since I've begun my graudate program, and I was a complete basket case!

Anyway, talking with your doctor is the best thing to do. We were all through alot this summer! And now I believe everyone when they say it can take up to a year to recover! No joke!

Barnie, I'm so thankful for your wonderful outlook on life and your sense of humor! You really help me to smile when it seems so difficult. My students always say that they love my hugs, I wish I could you!! I know that your warmth, compassion, and understanding would calm even the most tense person! ME!!! LOL

Well, ladies, here on the east coast it is 6:32 a.m. I need to leave the house at 7...and here I sit in my pj's chugging my coffee with you all! I need to wake the DD up, she leaves 5 mins before me, so it's gonna be a race to the shower!!!

Have a wonderful day, friends!

Hi everybody!

I'm feeling some of the same things some of you are going through. I am feeling kind of anxious and also things ( and people) are getting on my nerves more. I don't get tired like I used to though, so that's good.

DS was home over the weekend for fall break. It was fun having him home. We did some shopping and of course we ended up at Olive Garden (you know me and the Olive Garden). He had to leave yesterday though. I always feel sad when he leaves.

I had the day off today. Cleaned the house and I am in the process of washing all the bedding in the house! It will be good to get it all done today since I will be working the rest of the week.

I'm looking forward to Dancing with the Stars tonight! I still haven't talked DH into taking dancing lessons yet

Oh well, guess I'll go for now. I hope everyone has a nice evening!

Prayers, Please

Hi Friends,

I'm writing to ask you for your prayers...I've been pretty sick for the past week and a half! Between the vomiting, diarrhea, no appetite, headaches, and high fever, I'm SICK of being sick.

It's not all been at one time. One thing comes, it goes, something else comes. This weekend it was the 103.7 fever, serious headache. Went to the doctor on Monday, he says that because of all the antibiotics I was on (remember? the bladder surgery, all the UTI's, yeast infection??) that all of the good bacteria was killed and left nothing, in essence, to fight of infection.

So, now, i have diarrhea, low grade fever, and last night woke up and couldn't bend or straighten my knees, ankles, wrists, fingers without INTENSE pain! Went to the emergency room last night, they ran a gamut of blood tests, and wouldn't you figure, all negative! Boo. So I got a shot of an anti-inflammatory, which helped. I was sent home at 7 am this morning, and have an appointment with my doctor at 5:15 tonight.

I've not been able to go to work so far this week. I had to miss my grad class last night, and I'm not sure how the Thursday class is looking right now. I'm so sad! I've not been able to get any work done, either for my classroom or my two classes. The work is piling up, the house is filthy, and we have no food.

Well, that's enough rambling. I really need to go read another research article, a couple of chapters, and prepare for a presentation for Monday. Please pray that the doctors can figure out what is wrong with me, and for my body to heal already!!! Thanks...sorry to dump on you!

I prayed for you early this morning. I keep a prayer journal so I can look back on my past groaning and demands. I noticed you and Karen and Cathy and Nancy and Kristie and..... Well anyway I stopped for a while and thanked Him for you all and asked Him to grant you all good health. I will definitely bring your name up to Him again though the day.

Yuck!. I hate to vomit let alone have a headache while doing so. I am sorry.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I 'just' got a call from my pastor too, who also prayed over the phone with me. Sure hoping God's line isn't 'busy'...hehe...

Thanks, Barnie! Love you!

Oh, Audrey, I am so sorry you are feeling so badly! I hope the doctor has some answers for you. I will definitely be praying for you. This website has been such a blessing for me. I have friends here that are praying for me, but most of them have no clue what I am going through. Praise God for friends that I can't even see that are lifting me up to Him. I will be returning the favor! Love to all

Karen, HappyCook, Barnie...

Thank you for your kind and supporting words. In my litttle corner of the world, I feel so blessed to be able to look to my hysterFRIENDS for the cyber hug I need.

Things look better then get worse again. It's all so weird. I went to a rheumatologist today and got no news from there. It's looking more and more like a 'reactive condition' to colitis. Also, the doctor may be thinking Lyme disease...so we'll see how things go. Going to a dermatologist tomorrow because I developed a weird rash on my arms and legs. ARRGGHHH!!!

Oh well, he's got me on a couple of different meds, so hopefully, something will give soon! Good night!

Oh man, Audrey-child! You are really being challenged. Could the rash be a reaction to your meds or the Lyme disease? My son had Lyme disease his last year at college. He bounced out of it pretty quickly. Remember, you survive a hysterectomy, countless bladder infections and how many years of menstrual agony. You can beat this too. You are a survivor! Plus you have us to talk to.

Hi All...an update...

The dermatologist took 2 bopsies of the rash on my legs. YAY!! more stitches! LOL Anyway, I'm going back to work tomorrow! I've been out all week so far, and my assistant had the kids make cards for me--I got them in the mail yesterday...what a pick-me-up!

I feel so much better than I had been feeling. The joint swelling isn't so bad. Headaches have diminished, and I'm getting my energy back. I figured one day back to school, then the weekend, and I should be ready for the full week.

One nice thing about working in a Christian school is that we don't do the "Halloween" thing, we take a field trip that day because just about all the public schools are doing some sort of Halloween party/parade. So we are going to a museum to learn about local history! YAY! That'll make for a short week too!

Anyway, there's the update. Hope you guys are well!

Love, Audrey :bigwink:
