I'm new at this, like Cloey! I don't know the initials for everything, so: I had everything taken Friday 20th -- mass(es) on the right ovary, adenomyosis in my uterus, left ovaries clean and tidy but the dr. wanted it anyway. She didn't offer a bladder sling and I didn't ask for one -- I didn't feel violated at all, I just felt like I'd like SOMETHING just the same as my former self. Probably silly!

Anyway I feel really fortunate to be off of all pain meds on day 6. Lots and lots of uncomfortable gas, adn I think the nurse putting in the IV hit a nerve, because it's really hard to clench a fist with my left hand! The dr. did say that should go away -- all that dead blood under my skin is migrating around -- feels/looks pretty funny.

I hope everyone feels orders of magnitude better every day!

Today was a really good day for me. Shhhh.....I drove today for the first time. Had to get my sweet tea. Went to CVS too to look for something didnt know what though. I ended up getting some baby wipes. They feel good when you get a hot flash. Helps to cool me down and they smell refreshing. I figured out that the recliner was actually better for me as the couch is really comfy and soft. My low back is achey and I am not use to the down time. Its great to hear all my fellow sisters are feeling better this week. I have the castle blues and really want to get some time by the water. Beach sounds really good about now!!!!! Hope you all have a great weekend and feel better.....

Home and feeling strange.

I am finally feeling like a human sort of that is. I had a TAH on 7/19 they had to tack my bladder and do alot of scraping due to endo, they had to scrape by bladder and the Dr. said that he had to strech out my intestines and scrape them. I ended up having to stay until Monday the 23rd, I had started running a fever and alot of pain. I started HRT on the 22nd. Having alot of pain, especially on my right side, they said that was due to the bladder being tacked. But, at least I am home now Will post more tomm. been a long day, visitors really are tiring Thanks for being here, yall are a real lifesaver, I couldn't have made it this far without this site, or at least not sane.

Today is a BAD day

Today (day 6 post op) has been a really bad day. I ended up sleeping well last night but that has been overshadowed by my potty pain for the last 3 hours and not feeling good at all.
I have been crying alot and not ready to be out of the house at all, so I do my walking in the house. Right now I just feel like I want to be in the fetal postion.
I hope tomorrow is a better day.

I haven't been crying, and I'm incredibly glad to be pain-free, but I'm also on day 6 so I am holding your hand and pulling you through! You WILL be fine, you really really will be.

I know...my house needs vacuuming so badly, but I still keep asking my DD everyday. Eventually she'll get to it. I came out of the bathroom complaining about how I wish everyone would clean the tub after themselves and suddenly there was DH scrubbing and rinsing the tub. I'm feeling good but I know doing too much will cause setbacks. Will stay focused on the recovery. I'm back to work in 4 weeks after a week at the beach and need to be ready for twenty-five 5th graders!

Hope everyone is recovering well!
