Sorry, Barnie, you're not the pitiful one. I was thinking it was me!! There had been times that new posts had not shown up on my email and so much time had seemed to pass that I'd just pop on to see what was happening, and I had missed so much.

Same this time. I remember I had posted jsut before Easter and when no one had posted, I kept thinking to myself that something must be wrong with ME...maybe that I had no life!

I wonder too...about JesusFreak and Lil'eduk8r who had gotten engaged after so long, and so, so many others who, like you, helped me through times I never thought I'd get over.

Barnie, that crusie is getting so much closer...only 92 days of grad school left! The countdown began in January, I am so fried from overworking and pushing it to my limits! I feel like I've been running on empty, but I guess God keeps me filled so that I make it to the finish line! I've come this far, I know that He will not let me down now!

Anyway, I've gotta go get ready for work. This week and next, then Spring Break. But no time off for me. I need to get my case study up to date since it will be due when we return from Spring Break, but then it gets turned it, the following week we get it back then we have parent conferences, then we are done. When I put it like that, it seems so close.

Man, I keep rambling! Thanks for keeping in touch Barnie...I hope, like you, this is not shut down. I love hearing from my cyber friends, crying on your shoulders, sharing my news, and *****ing when the time is right! We've been through a lot together, in a very short amount of time.

God bless your days~

Hi everybody!!

Sorry I haven't posted for so long. I really do like keeping in touch with you all and hearing about your life. I just haven't been getting on the computer much lately. I have had a lot going on. We had to move my mother and father into a different apartment at the retirement home last weekend. They are in their nineties and just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. I took the two grandkids to Disney on Ice yesterday. That was a lot of fun! There is a lot happening in May. DS graduating from college, then interning in the summer and he got a Graduate Assistant for next year while he goes for his Masters! DD graduating from high school and .......... expecting a baby then too. I keep telling myself God doesn't give us more than we can handle. It's ok now, I've accepted it but still very stressful.

Guess I'll go for now, thank you all so much for being there these past months. You are such a comfort.

I just ate at a lovely log cabin restaurant called, The Tunnel Inn, in Story, Wyoming. Charming! The food was delicious and plentiful. We all determined before going in that we would not order the appetizer so we could enjoy the desserts. I ate half of my halibut to save room. I ordered the Creme B rule'. YUMMMMMMMMO! I have never had better tasting or such a large serving if it. I ate ever bite, except the bites I grudgingly allowed my co munchers taste.

OK, that's my excitement for the weekend. Next week we will take our camper down to CO for DS and DDIL to live in for a couple of months. They are changing teaching jobs so will be moving after school is out. Unfortunately, the landlords asked them to leave their rental early so the landlord's son can live in it. Too little time left to get into a lease and they have a little dog so finding another place is impossible. So they just put their stuff in storage and will "camp" until school ends.

I love that as a substitute teacher, I have the time to give to this endeavor. It is good to be available.

Happycook, the sandwich generation is a tough one. You have a lot more on your plate than creme b rule'. I wish your DS many blessings on his future. Sounds like he has it all planned out. You DD will be bringing a most precious blessing. I will pray for you and her and her little one. She has a tough road to walk. It is fortunate that you have her back. You are my hero. :superman:

have often thought what would I do if.... Then last fall, my DS and his girlfriend was in a similar situation. The babies, twins, miscarried in the first trimester, but their brief existence on earth created a brilliant bonding time for us. We got to demonstrate "unconditional love" and they got to demonstrate humility and fortitude. I was very proud of them and often grieve my first grandchildren.

Audrey, that cruise is getting closer. So much fun. AND...you get to go knowing that you have a master degree. A very great achievement indeed! Way to go, girl.

Cathy, Jesusfreak, where are you? Cathy are you married yet? Jesusfreak, how's your health?

Have a good weekend all....barnie.

Just wanted to stop by and say HI...Sounds like your plate is full right now, HappyCook! You seem to be handling it so well and with much grace! I praise God for the excellent health that my parents have, although they are still rather young (Dad is 69, Mom is 67)...They were both very young when I was born!!

I'm struggling with my 'babies' wanting to spread their wings...as I've mentioned, DD is going to Peru for two weeks this summer on a missions trip. She found the trip offered in a Christian magazine for teenage girls that she receives. There is one lady that she recruited from our church who will be going with her...then next closest person (who I DON'T know) is a young girl, also 15, from NYC which is an hour and a half away from here...to say that I am nervous is not saying much at all. Anyway, the Youth Group at church is helping to raise funds by having a car wash today...Praise God the weather is gorgeous today...

DS has decided that he wants to study abroad next semester. He's applied to study in France! For some odd reason, French is in his blood. He eats, sleeps, and lives French. My grandmother was born in France, came to the US in the 1920's...but he never really knew her. I'm proud that he wants to do this, but...oh I don't know, I guess I just worry too much!

So on to happy stuff...Yeah, Barnie, the cruise is getting so much closer...But I have another order of business to take care of first. One of the teachers I work with will be finishing her Grad School program a week after me (happens to be on my birthday, which is also my hysterversary). We started together, cried together, laughed together, *****ed together, and overall supported and knew what each other was going through for the past two years. SOOO...we are going to have one huge party the next day to celebrate our accomplishments with all the teachers we work with (thank God we work in a real small school)!!!

Ladies, I really love hearing from you. It's great that we're feeling so much better now, but I miss you! Know that I treasure and look forward to every post that you write! God Bless you in whatever is happening in your lives right now!

Love, Me

Hello All!!

Welcome back Presouz! It is good to hear from you again
Bakz4, It sounds like you have a lot to look forward to with graduation and the CRUISE Hang in there, it will be here before you know it.
Barnie and Bakz4, Thank you so much for your support. Nine months ago I didn't think I would actually reach this point but I am actually excited and looking forward to the birth of my new grandson. I know it is really going to be hard for my DD but I will be here for her. I hope and pray she will be a wonderful mother despite her young age. I pray the she and the baby are healthy. We had a baby shower on Sunday. She received a lot of wonderful presents. I am thankful for my generous coworker who gave her the shower. She is now going through the same thing. I hope that I can be there for her as she was for me.

Guess I'll go for now. I wish you all well. Write back again Presouz!

You-u-u-u Who-o-o-o

You whooooo. My MIL a quiet, gentle soul, always yodels at us from across the street or down the mall hallways. We cringe each time as one brave person tries to intercept her before she can yodel again while the rest of us slink off pretending we don't know her. Yet, it is one of the things I most cherish about her. Humans can be so strangely contradictory can't we?
Presouz! Woman. Where have you been? It was a hoot to hear from you again. Are you healthy, happy. Tell us more!

Audrey and Happycook, I'm glad your friends are there for you. God has a way of sending backup, doesn't He?

Hi everybody!!
Well, I'm a grandma again. After 12 hours of labor, they finally did a C section on DD. We welcomed a very beautiful and healthy grandson. I have been helping out nonstop as DD in a lot of pain. I keep stressing the importance of walking around but she's young and just keeps thinking how much it hurts. Her and her boyfriend seem to really love the little guy so I think they will be good parents after this post op period is over. Well guess I'll go for now, I'm really tired and frazzled. I didn't get any sleep last night. I forgot just how exhausting a new baby can be!!

A new baby boy to love...
Enjoy him, love him,
Give praises for a healthy delivery!

PS...I, too, had to have a section after 14 hours of labor. Pushed and pushed for over 2 hours, but the stinker wouldn't come down. My DS weighed in at 9 lbs and 21"...So, I understand about being tired, sore, and in pain!

Anyway...best wishes to the new grandparents...the new parents, and to the family who will be helping to raise him!

God Bless!

Woot! Woot! Thanks for great news. We all understand her pain. I, too, had all 3 kids classical c-section. My first, after 19 hours of labor, and they did a appendectomy to boot. I didn't know a body could be in that much pain and fatigue and still be alive.

You are right, she is young. She will learn. She has you to help her. What an endearing blessing he will be to you all. He already has been to a couple of weird cyber sisters. Enjoy!
