Desiree - I am glad you are feeling a little better too. My dh and I have a tens unit. It really helped him when he hurt his back. My pain is my pain and while when it is on it helps as soon as I turn it off I am right back where I started from.

Hope everyone is having a good day today.

Kept both ovaries, EXTREMELY moody...

Add me to the list of being "moody." It comes and goes, but instead of taking it out on my husband, I post on a football forum and take it out there talking about football and the upcoming season.

My husband laughs at me and says, "Thanks SO much for not taking this out on me!" LOL.

Kept both ovaries, EXTREMELY moody...

Thanks everybody!

Update: I had a sleep study last night... not fun; however, I am looking forward to the results in the beginning of August. They are trying to figure out why I'm always tired..... um it's called FMS/CFS LOL

Neck and back from accident are driving me nuts... the insurance companies are even worse! Trying to get the blame off of their client. Ugh... how irritating....

Anybody know anyone looking for a couple of dogs? My larger dogs have just become too much for me to handle. Email me if you know anyone.

Hmmm My mom is doing very good after her second surgery for breast cancer... she is getting ready for her reconstructive surgery soon. Thanks for everyone's prayers during her ordeal!!

I am so aggravated with being in pain all the time. I'm getting so frustrated. And now on top of all my "normal" pains I've had a headache ever since the accident that just refuses to go away. Grrrr

Sorry... I really am trying to be upbeat. I hope everyone else is doing better!

Kept both ovaries, EXTREMELY moody...

Desiree - As someone who has been living with severe pain for many years I totally understand the frustration. I also have to go for a sleep study and now have been told I need to have a full body cat scan with and without contrast done because they found another growth benign on my mid back so since this is the third growth they have found they now want to check. Am I nervous absolutely but I have told the drs. I am taking the month of August off. I am sick of every week going for tests, drs visits and then more tests and no answers. I guess it is better then when many years ago they did not have all these meds and tests and they would not have been able to do anything for us. I guess enough of my griping. By the way I definitely understand the moodiness, grouchiness, and on and on. I just want to be pain free for the most part and as you said Desiree get the happy peppy person I used to be back.

Prayers and hugs for everyone.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!
It has been a long time since I thought about this thread, so thanks Ginny for the post!

2008 is gone and after the last 6 months - I will NOT miss it one bit. It has been a most trying time in my family - here and extended. One HUGE blessing -- we have custody of our beautiful 10 yr old granddaughter. She is my reason for getting up in mornings.

I pray each of us have a healthy, memorable (all for GOOD reasons), and safe 2009.

Wow, it really has been a long time since we've all chatted!!

I miss you all a lot. Well, here's an update on me & my mom:

My mom has had her both of her breasts removed due to breast cancer, but had them removed by two separate surgeries. She has since then had reconstructive surgery, but tore her pectoral muscle. So, she had to have one of her implants removed... now she has had that one put back in again and finally it looks like she is healing well! I am so happy for her, she has been through so much in 2008. She also found out that her thyroid isn't working properly & has been put on for that.

I have had three of my four planned surgeries on my feet. My last one is scheduled for the 22nd of this month. So far things look like they are healing as planned. I have been getting Ketamine Infusions every other week for my Fibromyalgia. Not sure if it's helping or not, but I think it is a little. Hmmmm.... still on lots of different so I feel like a walking pharmacy! LOL

Positive Notes:
My step-father asked for a Bible for Christmas! I bought him one & had his name put on it. Found out he is dislexic (sp??). He requested a large print & tabs... we found a really easy to read one and hope he likes it. Just finished wrapping the rest of his & my mom's presents this evening... will be sending their box of goodies soon.

My youngest ds spent the entire Christmas break with us... for those of you who know the story, you know that is a very big thing for me!

My oldest ds will be 16 on Feb 1st... I can't believe he's getting so big!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas & New Year. I pray that we all have a better year this year than we did last year. to all my hystersisters out there!
