Kept both ovaries, EXTREMELY moody...

someone jsut told me that migraine sufferers should take one baby aspirin a day just like preventing heart trouble.

dont know if it works -- but it is a cheap safe thing to try!

lala,
We aren't but they are. In spite of it all, they really, are great. They never talk back and do anything you ask, as long as you help them. Just don't play poker with them, their expression never changes.

Every med I've taken for a migraine only helps if I catch it early It's weird sometimes it makes me a little tired and others it doesn't. I get really sick to my stomach w/mine also, so I have an anti-nausea pill that I take with it most of the time and that DOES make me sleepy, so that makes it hard to tell if the Maxalt does or not. It comes in 5 or 10 mg and I use the 10! I have ended up in the ER a few times this year already due to my migraines... I tend to wait too long... then I get to where I get the shakes really bad and have to have everything really dark and quiet! It is NOT fun that's for sure. I don't think I'd wish a migraine on my worst enemy! Mine often last for days, but they're usually only really bad for 1 or 2. My skin is really sensitive to ice, so I can't handle that... wish I could though, I usually end up using a damp washcloth. My dh usually wipes me down every 15-20 minutes to try to help. I'm lucky because he understands that I'm in a lot of pain. Actually it's usually him that forces me to go to the ER because I wake him up crying in the middle of the night.

The thing that frustrates me the most is they can't figure out the Reason I get them... I've had an MRI of my brain and everything and they have no idea why or how to stop them.

Danny's pretty understanding too. He gets cluster headaches,so he understand the blurry vision and nausea that comes with it. he knows to just leave me alone when I have one. I don't want anyone around me.

Just remember, Everyday above ground is a good one!

Rest well, just not too well, you don't want to wake up dead. Breathing is a good thing.

Here's another funny story to share with ya!

I'm sure most of you heard about hurrican Katrina, right? Well, my inlaws live in MS. My dh and I (we weren't married yet) drove out there to help them afterwards. Well they had pigs at the time... and NO electricity... so I was running around in my bikini (which wasn't a pretty site to begin with!) and the pigs got out.... so I was running around trying to get the pigs back in the pen in my bikini! My FIL (my dh's step-dad) still teases me about it and says he wished he had a camera. LOL hmmm guess you had to be there

Danny's idea of hold music:

Dust in the Wind
Another one Bites the Dust
I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight

He has about 20 of them. I can't ever remember them all. He's a sick man, but he's my sick man.
