I have not had any pain on my legs. I generally feel really good. I was having lower back pain a couple of weeks ago, that was a bit annoying. Lately I noticed that I require a nap around 2-3pm which is when I am able toget home from work. I am feeling really tired lately , maybe I am over doing it. I have been exercising for awhile now and back to my pre surgery routine of life. hugs, lourdes

Everything sucks if you ask me. I'm almost 27 years old and I feel like I'm an extremely old person and I'm falling apart. I HAD to have my hysterectomy, but at times I wish I didn't have problems to make me have one. At times I think having a period would be better than all the physical and hormonal crap that goes on. I'm tired of all the "side effects". Tired of being tired and them not being able to figure out what medicine is gonna actually work to help ALL my "side effects" physically, emotionally, etc. Okay I'll stop being a cry baby.

I overdid it this weekend. Up Friday at 4 am with puking hubby...awake until 11:30 pm friday night, up at 5 am saturday to help my mom with a garage sale (moving stuff) and up til 11 pm Saturday night. Came home from church sunday afternoon (after going to the store) and cleaned house. I WAY overdid it cleaning and was hurting pretty badly in my back and lower abdomen. This morning I feel like I'm coming down with hubby's stomach bug....feeling puky.

five_foot, I feel your pain! I'm tired of it as well....I feel like a grumpy old woman.

Overdoing It

Diana, I'm sorry you're sore and miserable. I think most of us reach a point where we feel we're well enough to do what we normally do and regret it afterwards. I hope you're able to rest for a day or two and that you soon feel better.

Mary.

Man, I'm sorry some of you are still having troubles this late in the game!

Besides that fact that I no longer have periods, I have no symptoms of my surgery. The kids and I went on a 7 hour horseback ride Saturday and I can lift saddles & load feed without a second thought.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones but I'm really glad I went ahead with the surgery NOW instead of waiting until I was older. I will be 40 next year but I feel younger.

My husband is having lap-band surgery in 2 days so he can take charge of his health & live longer. I hope it works!

Good luck all!

I cant begin to imagine what it's like to be 27 and going thru the crap that you are going thru. Its hard at my age(49) on some days. So its okay to be a cry baby. Hopefully the drs. will find something that works for you soon. I can do hormones so I've been trying different herbs and I think I've found one thats work.

Good Luck

Hey everyone,
My life totally turned upside down a couple weeks ago. My DD is filing for divorce. She and GD have moved in. I had to totally empty my spare room of all my Tupperware to make room for them. Her husband has been horrible.
Since my moods and hot flashed are totally under control yet I've had a very hard time not wanting to kill someone.
My body still reminds every once in awhile that surgery was only 3 months ago but I've been doing pretty much whatever I want. Except: When DH and I have sex it now hurts if he pushes too hard. Never hurt before so I'm hoping things just are healed totally yet.

Thank you debbieh00523 for the encouragement. I keep thinking I will try some different methods or something herbal or more natural, but I just haven't. I guess I really should. I'd probably feel better. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate as well. I'll be praying for you!!!!

Angry - Hysterectomy dates Jul 23-Jul 30,2007 Hard to believe I can still be sore!

Wow! It's been so long since I've gone to this site for advice! I guess I've been feeling so great that I really haven't thought too much about my surgery. I ocassionally talk about it, but it's really more of a passing thought. The only real problem I've had is trouble falling asleep at night, but I think that partly has to do with my DH working night shift. So, off to my question...I have been working out like normal now for the past couple of weeks. Tonight I decided to take the spinning (cycling) class at the gym that I loved so much. I didn't give a second thought to how I would feel afterwards. I feel miserable! My "crotch" (for lack of a better word seeing that it 11:30PM, lol) is killing me! I can barely sit down. I also feel sick to my stomach which might just be from the pain. So, does anyone know if that's normal for me to be feeling so bad? I've kinda gone over some posts in here and it seems some others have experienced pain and tenderness still. I just wanted to confirm that it's normal and not something I need to call the doc on. It's just so weird for me to be feeling so wonderful for so many weeks and than have it just change in an instant. Anyone else having trouble with riding a bike? Thanks for any advice!!!

Jacque,

I'm sorry you're so sore after the spin class. I can't help you, but I'm sure someone else here will be able to.

The only exercise I've done since my op was walking (starting a couple of days after my op) and swimming after my 6 week checkup when the consultant said it would be okay. Yesterday I rang the gym to make an appointment with a trainer. When I said that I was returning to exercise after a hysterectomy they said I would have to have medical clearance first. I was mad at myself for telling them instead of just going along and figuring out a workout for myself. What you've just said makes me glad I did tell them. Perhaps I'll stick with walking and swimming for another while. I'm 55 and had TAH/BSO.

Mary.
