PreOp Today and NO BOWEL PREP!
Wahoo! I had my pre op appt today and the good news is there is no bowel prep required! yippee! I can eat up until midnight tomorrow and my surgery is at 7:30 am Thursday. I know some ladies were asking about acrylic nails-I was told I could keep mine on as well.
My nerves are shot and I can't wait for this to be all over! Thanks to all of you who have been so supportive and full of information!
Linda

PreOp Today and NO BOWEL PREP!
Hi Linda,
Good for you that you don't have to do a bowel prep. I didn't either, but I did follow other advice from here and I just took it easy on my evening meal the night before and didn't over do it. I drank lots of water the evening before too and I think that helped me.
I also didn't have any nail concerns but my fingernails are unpolished anyway. I took off my toenail polish but it turns out I didn't need to because just before the surgery the nurses put the compression stockings and then socks on my feet. After I got home I had to look at my naked toenails for a week or so until I felt good enough to bend over slightly and polish them
