I am having a blue evening. DH got home and I was unloading the dishwasher while DS was playing video games. All *ell broke loose! He was so mad. I told him that I was only putting away the things that were light and easy. He doesn't know that DS did got on a walk with me today and he helped me with other things.
I hate it when he gets like that. Hopefully tomorrow will go better. His mom called and he told her and she said I must be feeling well. That is no excuse is what he said.
I am feeling good. I took a naproxen this morning and a tylenol and that has been it.
I hope I sleep tonight.
Talk to you all in the morning.

My WDH has been the best I was more worried about how much care I was going to get but he has been great. Hope all of you are doing well and thanks for this site it has really helped with my questions. Thanks again.

I was wondering if anyone is having fluid retention my ankles are all swollen, writs, fingers etc. I hope all of you are feeling better I'm just sad.. Thanks in advance Renee
I had major fluid retention with swollen ankles that concerned me. I called the dr. and found out that I was given something called Adept. It is a liquid given through the laprascope to help new adhesions from forming. It stays in your body 4 days. I was just told to keep my ankles higher than my kidneys. And my ankle swelling went away on day 5, right on schedule! I was really happy because the CombiPatch they gave me in the hospital can also cause swollen ankles, and I didn't want to give up my hormone patch!!

Hope you are feeling better and wait and see if Day 5 after surgery brings you some relief! I hope so!

Hi i'm 47 and had TAH B/O on the 1st Aug..today is the best day so far..fairly sick for 3 days..couldn't even sip water..i had to have the catherter put back in as nothing would work, sat on the comode with my hand in a bowl of water for ages, the nurse said that i was very bruised...having heperin injections twice a day because of previous DVT's, wasn't helping..found that the suppositories for pain and nusea did help..
Wish that i had had more time to read this site before my op, and prepare more, as i had so many questions and the Dr wasn't interested, just said that it had to be done! I wasn't well and just said go for it..
i'm now sitting here, clothes on, clothes off, hot then cold and have so many questions and not sure where to start. Just reading other's posts is helping..thank you

Good morning (why am i not getting notes that there are new posts in this section )

anyway

Better night's sleep -- not perfect -- but better. Took 6 mg Melatonin. My bed feels so uncomfortable (of course it feels good to hubby). It's a water bed.

My back was SORE during the night. Not the PAIN I had post surgery -- this was in a different area and was a muscle soreness -- don't know why or what caused it. Not bothering me out of bed.

Still having pink when I wipe. I don't understand how much is too much, I don't understand when it should stop, so with every wipe I am concerned. Not accumulating on liner or if it shows up on liner it is just faint and small.

Having my coffee with fiber stuff mixed in. Will be getting ready to do my walk in a little bit -- indoors on treadmill -- too hot here in TX. Walks are progressing great and continue to be the highlight of the day.

How's everyone else doing? It's so hard doing NOTHING

Best Thing Since Sliced Bread!

[SIZE=1]On July 31, I had the LSH (kept remaining ovary and cervix) and was discharged from the hospital the next morning. I have experienced no pain, no problems at all. It's almost as though I didn't have surgery, except for the three small incisions with one stitch each (navel and two on either side of it). The bandaids were removed prior to my leaving the hospital.

I am doing my best to rest, though I feel I can do anything I was doing prior to surgery. Thank goodness my mom is here to remind me to rest and take it easy. Follow up with my doctor is tomorrow ... he indicated when I left the hospital that I could drive after one week ...

This is the best thing since sliced bread! And no more bleeding!!! Hallelujah!

Hi Ledette,

Fortunately, I am with you. Had LSH on the 1st and was home by 5pm that day. Three small incisions, minimal pain. I did "spring a leak" from the navel on day 3. It was wierd, but I was told in advance that it might happen and that it was normal. Having trouble sleeping - I thought recovery would be days and nights filled with peaceful sleep but that has not been the case.

We "LSH"ers are very lucky. My thoughts and good wishes go to all of my fellow July 30-Aug 6 "sisters" experiencing greater challenges than I am on the road to recovery. Keep up the good work!

Tracy
