you know I was doing the gym 4 days a week, lifting, etc...and my doc told me that in 3 weeks I can slowly start back and do "upper" and small weights, nothing that would strain my lower half. wow..great for you..1 hour on the treadmill every day!!! I would have to say you are healing great! good for you..now that you told me that, I may hit the treadmill tomorrow at the gym..4mph is excellent to..I just started walking a little more faster..its the tiredness that is getting to me, and not falling asleep easy at night does not help..anyone else have trouble falling asleep?

I have to admit to going "commando" since my surgery too! Even granny panties aren't high enough to go over my incision, and the lowest bikinis (if I had any!) would still irritate the lower part of my incision. I am happy around the house in my Lands' End soft cotton night gown. If I go into the yard I slip on a Fresh Produce shift-type dress. No one knows I'm not wearing any panties, so it really doesn't matter. Just my comfort matters!

Thanks a bunch! I'll check my pharmacy and see if they carry it!

Gardener, glad you're feeling better mentally...I had kind of a blah day today myself, I think it was the heat. But you'll probably feel a ton better when you can get back to your power walking (starting slow of course!). I know that walking has improved my mood and reminded me that I am getting better. One step at a time!

and catching up...

Wow, I have been terrible about keeping up with you ladies! I guess I have been worried about my mom being here and her being bored, so I haven't been checking the posts.

I'm also having a hard time sleeping on my back, I have a wedge pillow so I don't have to lean back so much (sure makes getting out of bed easier, just roll to the side). I prefer sleeping on my stomach, but that won't happen for a long time!

I need to walk earlier I guess, the heat is just too much if I wait. I was really dragging today, although my mom was also dragging. It's been nice having her here, but I worry I am overdoing it so that she isn't bored. Too much sitting up, not enough napping and reading!

I guess I am a bit stir crazy after a week. Unfortunately, I am hurting more tonight, so maybe my initial feeling good was too good to last. I feel the incision a lot more now, it's tugging and pulling and aching.

Best wishes to everyone...

Getting stronger

Hi, just a note to say that each day seems to bring more strength. DH is wonderful to be at beck and call and tho I am still weak- God is strong and I thank Him for the healing going on in all our bodies. I had a hyst. cause there has been increasing pain for 4 yrs. In my back rt. butt and leg. OB found 18 cm. fibroid in Jan. 07 and when I found this web site DH sugg. I could get a TT too so here we are. Now there is NO pain in my back, butt and leg. God has healed me! Thanks, God!!!!

Are you walking for 1hour a day now or 3 wks post op? My doctor doesn't need to see me until I'm ready to go back to work. Just wondering if you are going to the gym now I miss it it might help my mood. Thanks in advance Renee
