I've been okay with my husband around, and my mom earlier in the week. But this particular friend has become very busy with her own family due to her divorce...mostly it's just a weird gap in my routine since I normally talk to her at least every other day. I saw her right after my surgery but she has been busy all week...

Ah well, this is the post-op update, not really the place for a long discussion...

I don't want to be too graphic, but today I am having a strange vaginal discharge. Is anyone else experiencing this? ~Mandy

Hi Girls!

I going backwards! I was doing so well with the cathing and now I'm back to where I started- so frustrating!!!

Mandy- I have a discharge- it is more red than brown- kind of red/orangy and I can feel it come out. When I sit on the potty, it will drip into the hat (thing I have to pee in to measure everything). And at night I can feel it coming out. Sorry for being so graphic! Does this sound similar? Nothing hurts and it's not enough to soak a pad- I just wear the daily liners.

Take Care!

It's almost the color of brown sugar, and it's pretty light. I am wearing panty liners and that's working. There is no blood, or pain. I am going to call the office first thing tomorrow and speak to a nurse. I did antibiotics in the hospital the day of and for 2 days after surgery. I am affraid I have done too much and something might be wrong. But like I said no pain, or blood. I was told to call if I had a fever, bleeding or cramping. I have none of those so I think I can wait until morning. ~Mandy

Howdy everyone...

I can't get over how busy all you ladies have been. It took me forever to catch up on my reading. Glad to see most everyone is doing pretty well.

Yesterday I am sure I over did it.

We left the house around 3:15 and went to Sam's Club and then Wal-mart. Came home, my boyfriend unloaded the car and we both put up groceries and other stuff. After being home for about 45 minutes to an hour we went out again. This time we went to Blockbuster, Kohl’s and Target. We got home around 8:30 last night. Then I made two giant chocolate chip cookies.

You know typing it out doesn't seem as much as it was when I was walking all day. I was in pain yesterday. I took pain pills and overcame. I was BEAT!

Last night I didn't sleep well. I woke up every hour which drove me crazy. Has anyone else had that problem?

Then today we got up early and got ready to go to my boyfriend's family. I got in huge argument with said boyfriend about something stupid. (Probably a little more sensitive than normal.) Calmed down and then went to his family's house.

Played with three kids, walked around yard and took lots of pain meds today because yesterday is still kicking my behind.

I am having A LOT of pain today. I attempted to wear jeans this morning and that is NOT going to happen any time soon.

Just got home about 30 minutes ago and now I have two bags of fruits to juice before they go bad.

Plan for the week: Hibernate.

I can not get over how tired I am this weekend.

I was going to advise on the discharge to Mandy. I too have had some "funky" discharge. I noticed it when I was at the doctor on Friday and he said everything looked normal. So I am guessing that is a normal occurrence.

Well, I am off to do more work. BLAH!

Everyone take care!

Feeling crappy

Hi ladies,

My fever is back (100.5 this time) and I feel horrible. I did break out with a lovely cold sore this afternoon, and didn't have a temp before then, so I know that's what it's from and not a complication from the TAH, but I still feel crappy. I hate that fevery feeling.

I guess I'll watch the rest of this Princess Diana movie/documentary and drift off to sleep.

See you all tomorrow!

Chani, did your doctor do an internal exam? I have my first post op on Friday and I am just wondering what he will do. I haven't had a drop of anything on my liners but I feel for those of you who have. That would be unnerving. I hope it is nothing serious. That was a huge day! I can't even imagine all that walking! Good grief! I hope you sleep well today.

I went furniture shopping w/mom today. I gave her the bug and she is looking for a new coffee table. It was good to get out but we weren't out too long.

I did fall asleep while watching tv this afternoon. But didn't sleep long. I hope I sleep tonight.

I had my TAH on July 30th and have yet to venture out of the house, well, except to the mailbox.
I am going to venture out to my son's back to school night on Thursday this week and get back to church next Sunday. My doc pretty much has me homebound until I go see him at 4 weeks on the 27th. I really wish I had a laptop, sitting at the puter is a no no for me too, but I can't stay away from you all.
It is great keeping up with everyone's progress. Blessings sent out to you all. Unless insomnia comes to visit, Night Night my friends.
