Molly- It's because I have been a "good girl" and a true Princess!!! Really that has NOT been easy, because I feel so good. But when I read stories about people overdoing and ending up in bed or in the fetal position in pain, I just fluff my pillows and cuddle in.
I see my Doctor tomorrow at 4 oclock for my first post op visit.
My incision is so well healed it looks like I had this surgery many months ago! Again, it makes it hard to stick to the rule book, but I plan to as much as I can!

Girls, we have to remember that parts were removed from us and that there are 100's of internal stitches that take a while to heal, and that while is the 6 ro 8 week mark..... not 3!
hang in there everyone! We are almost on the other side.

Is anyone experiencing a very full heavy, warm feeling in the belly? It is almost like the fibroid is still there! Is this normal? Any ideas? I am four weeks post-op tomorrow!

hummm, No, I have not felt anything like that. I just had my first post op exam, and I am released to phase two of doing more activities! Doc says I am his poster child!
I did preview 6 2 million dollar homes and went to lunch today and now am propped up with the ice gel pack and in my silk jammies.
President Bush is doing an event at this moment about 4 blocks from my house and half way between my doctors office and home, the traffic was a nightmare!
My swelling is still going down and it is not increasing at the end of the day any more. It stays about the same day and night.
I told me Doctor how I had been staying in bed mostly and on the rocks, for the past three weeks, he could NOT believe it has been three weeks only. I see him again in 3 more weeks then I should get the go ahead to carry on and return to normal activities, hopefully.
I plan to still take it very easy and ride this easy living lifestyle out as long as I can. I did meet some people who need help finding and buying a new home, so that will take some running around to show them but after that, its feet up and ice pack. NO matter how great I feel, I KNOW those stitches are inside healing...... so I promise to stay on the safe side!

I think I screwed something up.. Blah.

Friday night I got sick to my stomach and (to put it nicely) threw my brains up. Since then I have been SUPER sore. I rested all day Saturday and Sunday hoping that it was just some pulled muscles. Today it is still very sore in my belly region. I think I am going to have to call the doctor tomorrow and go to be seen. My worse fear is I have pulled some internal stitches or something. I am not bleeding so I take that as a good sign. I don't run fevers so I didn't even bother to check my tempature. I can barely pull my self up when I am laying down on the couch or in bed with out that tugging-ouchy sharp pain happening. Sitting up for any period of time startes to have a VERY sharp pain in the same area. I finally took a Percocet tonight but I really didn't want to.

Ok done whining.. I just hope I haven't hurt myself too bad. Blah!

Bubble- That's just aweful! I am so sorry to hear that. It is so amazing how fragile we are for those 6 to 8 weeks post op, its really scarey!
I hope you can put some ice packs on and get horizontal and stay there until you get in to see the doctor tomorrow. It is a good sign that you are not bleeding! I guess that should be your signal to get in to the ER right away if you start to bleed!
I hope you are being pampered tonight, take care of you!

Bubble, has anyone else been ill? Maybe you got a touch of something from someone else and have irritated your tummy area. Any illness will effect us considerally in a weakened area even more so. I feel bad for you--feel better soon hun.

I had my first early morning of sleeplessness. I haven't suffered this and have felt very lucky about the fact. 2:30 hit last night and I tossed and turned until probably 4 am. I take Topamax for headaches and even it didn't help this time. I have had a very stressful few days though, so that may be playing into the mix too. My worst problem is tears!!!!

Good Morning:

I go for my 4 week check-up on Thursday. I am still haviing some pain along with the full heavy feeling. I still cannnot tell the difference between swelly belly and me just being fat from the surgery.
I am still good days over bad days - I stopped placing the patch for menopause on me, due to it was making hard knots in my leg. So, I am having plenty of hot flashes - i will liet the doctor know on Thursday.
