Hi Ladies!!!

How is everyone doing? I'm sorry I've been M.I.A. for a little bit. My laptop got a virus from a cute layout that I put on my "Myspace" page, and it completely killed the hard drive. Needless to say, I don't have the money to buy a new laptop so my access will be more spuradic, unfortunately.

How is everyone feeling? I went for my 5 week post-op visit with my surgeon, and all he did was check my incisions. He upgraded me to twice-a-day packing instead of 3 times, and only for 2 more weeks (or 10 days, but who's counting, LOL.) He didn't do the internal exam. He said he will do it on my next visit with him, which is on the 24th, I think. So, I guess things are going all right.

I did start having problems with incontinence. He said it's not from the bladder repair, because he repaired the TOP of the bladder, but since I had been having these problems before the hysterectomy, he put me on Detrol LA (Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now, gotta go, gotta go, gotta go.) It has only been a few days, but it seems to be calming down those intense urges and leakage. The bad part: constipation is a side effect. I already have horrible constipation, so I'm trying to really keep an eye on my bowels. I'm taking my Fibersure in my decaf coffee in the morning, which seems to keep things flowing nicely (pardon the pun, LOL.)

Can you believe we all have just reached, or will reach the 6 weeks mark this week? It's crazy! Time went by SO fast. I hope everyone is feeling great.

Oh, and I go for another PET/CT scan at the end of the month to find out the progression of my breast cancer, and if not having any estrogen has slowed it's progression. Keeping my fingers crossed for a stalled disease!

Anywho, "The Biggest Loser" is on, and I'm addicted to that show, so I'll catch up with you all later.

Heidi - Thanks for doing the new thread! And for posting it, since I probably never would have found it!

MollyPolly - How are you doing? Everyone has been worried about you.

Mollypolly, it is great to hear from you. Too bad about your computer
I am glad to hear that you are beginning to heal and hopefully the inside will be doing well at your next check up. Sounds like you could maybe have used a sling? Hopefully the Detrol LA will give you what you need in that area.
Let us know about your scan and how it turns out. I pray that it has slowed since this surgery.
Take care.

Just checking in. I know you are not very familiar with me, but I still want to be part of this group, it's like family or something, not sure, but we have all experienced this important of our lives at the same time and I am not ready to let go of that yet. Thanks to all for being there for all of us!!!!

wOOT! I found the new thread!

I've been using this week to catch up on silly chores around the house (the small ones that do not require lifting), and scheduled a dental filling (ick) and haircut for Friday. I have called the doc to get my release form for work, and will be heading back to work next Monday the 17th. I feel pretty good at this point, but am a bit hesitant about what a full workweek will do to me. I have gotten very spoiled sleeping in until 10 am or so!

How is everyone else? Maybe we should keep posting the new thread link in our signatures or something, and on the other forum. It would be nice to support each other as we head back to work or normal routines. They won't understand me at work, it's mostly a bunch of guys. At least my project manager is a woman who had a hyst for endo many years ago! She has been great.

Hi everyone!!!

I posted my update to the new thread over in the Hystersisters clubhouse section. Hopefully everyone will migrate over there over the next few weeks...thanks Heidi for starting it so we don't lose track of each other!

This site has been so great during our recovery...gives me warm fuzzies! I hope you're all having a good week!

a random thought, stop me if I am being silly

Hmm, I noticed there are a few other threads here in the Club House for Sisters in July and Aug. 2007...different weeks, but would anyone be interested to have them join our thread? I was just thinking if we merged our threads we might have enough people to keep things going longer...maybe in another month anyway? A small group is able to know each other better. Well, just something to ponder! I noticed since Heidi called the thread "'07 July & August"....
