Hey Girls!
I figure if I post here, Hystersister will send a note saying someone posted to this thread- Hopefully!

It's great to see those who are doing well!

Heidi- Thank you for starting this!!

MollyPolly- I'm so glad you're back! I figured it was your computer issues that kept you away! Let us know how your scans go- I am praying things go well.

Jazz- I know just what you are saying about the stitches- I went last week and they said I still have stitches and they put me on 6 more weeks restrictions- I hope that is not what happens to you, but it IS possible stitches are still there.

Take Care!

Good Evening:

I have written in a couple of days, but I have been reading the meesages. I am still giving myself the shots twice a day and the pill once a day. I go every other day for my blood to be drawn - so they can check my blood level. As of today I am 6 weeks post-op - I have been some work from home - mostly typing and responding to e-mails. I am very better, but still have good days and bad days. I officailly go back to work October 1.

My GYN said it we be awhile before I can take any HRT - so I continue to have night sweat/hot flashes and mood swings.

This site has been so helpful to me while I went thru this procedure and recovery.

Jazz - When you go your Dr appt on Friday, ask him how long it takes for the stitches to dissolve. I still have visible stitches in my belly button (I call them my belly button ring!) and in both of my incisions. Sometimes I hit the one on the right with my fingernail, because the stitch is just sticking out. My Dr just said that eventually them will fall off, but now I want to know when is eventually!

Hi there,

Thought I might join this thread too. I haven't been very good at keeping up with the other one, but I am interested in chatting to those who had their procedures around the same time. Besides, I might be able to give an "other side of the world" perspective on things LOL

It strikes me that things are so different here - the health system, employment issues, etc. It's hard to keep up with drug names too as of course, our brand names are different.

As far as my own recovery is going, I've been the poster child - not much pain and back at work full time, but the last few days I've gone backwards! Bladder issues, bowel has been mutinous, gas pains, the works. Blah.
Serves me right for being complacent methinks! I've got my 2nd post op check (internal exam) next week, so it will be interesting to see how that goes.

Annnnnyway... hope everyone is having a great day.

Hi ladies. I am beat! I took a 1 1/2 hour nap this afternoon. I am headed to back to school night in a half hour and it goes til 9:00. Then tomorrow and Friday my coworker is gone so I have to open the kitchen at 6:30 a.m. and get breakfast started! I am so irritated I can hardly stand it. The one saving grace is that my mom will be my sub and she started the school year working for me so she is trained in.
I knew last year that she would be taking these days off cuz her daughter has a pig in the fair but this is my first week back, give me a break.
So I will be working my tail off from 6:30 until 1:30 with a 20 minute break for lunch.
I will come home and take a big long nap!
I am also scared cuz our freight comes in on thursday which is a huge, heavy job and then frozen order comes Friday, another big, heavy job. Our boss weights about 90 lbs and can't lift more than 15 lbs so she is no help.
Oh well, I will get through it. I imagine I will shed a few tears along the way but I will get throug it!
Sloppy Joes tomorrow and chicken fajita ceasar wraps on Friday if any of ya want to come visit
Sorry for the rant. I feel better already. I hate being frustrated.
I had better get ready to go. Have a great rest of the night ladies.

Heidi, can your school custodian help with the delivery stuff. You don't want to do big lifting yet!

I am going to our new thread to post. Hope to see you there!

See Heidi's post on page 88 (I think) to link to the page!

I had my 6 week dr. visit today and my dr. was very happy with how well I've healed on the inside and outside. She kept saying that I healed so quickly! It's because I listened to my body and took it E-A-S-Y for 6 weeks thanks to the advice of my sisters here!

I have the green light for resuming all activities, she just said to go gradually, I can start jogging slowly and lifting handweights with lighter weights and increasing my intensity as I feel like it. I also have the green light for sex, but I'm nervous! She said to use lots of lubrication the first time until I find out how much lubrication I make naturally. I'm so tired right now, I don't know if I'll be able to do "it" tonight. DH has been VERY understanding ( I think he's more afraid of hurting me than I am of being hurt!).

School is going great. I think There's no taking it easy with a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds! It doesn't hit me until I get home and sit down, and then I can't get up...so I don't! I get my ice pack and relax as long as I need to.

Thanks again, Heidi, for making this spot for us. It feels cozy!
Now be careful tomorrow!
