Pre-Op Appointment Day

I'm going in for my pre-op appointment today looking like a drug addict. All my Rx and over the counter drugs are packed in a pretty floral bag, so I don't get odd looks from strangers. I am under treatment for GERDS, Migraines, and already on HRT, I take lots of vitimins and herbs, so I have quite a stash of bottles to carry in.
The house is clean, bag packed, oldest daughter here and I'm ready to go! Wed. is the big day. I love the new haircut I got last week so I wouldn't have to do so much styling while I'm not feeling good. I've been told I look like Julie Andrews..........so The Hills are Alive .............keeps running through my head.
Blessings to all of us who have this surgery ahead of us.

good luck with our pre-op. i hope some of the herbs you take do not interfere with your plans. have you looked any of them up to see if they shouldve been stopped weeks before surgery? some need to be. bring a list of everything you take and let the anesthsiologist look over them. i was asked about specific herbs before surgeries but i cant remember what they were since i didnt take them. let us know how everything goes!

Pre-Op Appointment Day

Well, the pre-op was pretty painless. I was shocked that they didn't tell me to stop taking ANYTHING----AND----no bowel prep either.
Now I feel like I have an inner hourly countdown. I am a VERY patient person who finds themself with a very short fuse right now. I do NOT like that. I'm not sleeping well, but I don't sleep before any big event, good or bad. Still not afraid, just anxious to get on the other side of anesthesia, the rest of it doesn't bother me. I have a high tolerance for pain.
Wish I could just "click my ruby red slippers together" and "be back in Kansas" again! Ha!
