Last time I did an enema, I didn't need any help. I'm not as flexible now. I guess DH really loves me...

Not so hot today. Discharge from the incision. Messy, but apparently a good thing, according to the doctor. Doesn't look like I'm getting the staples out Tuesday after all.

You?

I don't seem to have a fever, and the lower digestive is working (if slower), and I pee like the proverbial racehorse, but this incision thing has got me spooked. Why did it have to crop up on a Saturday?

The staples feel irritated.

Are you getting enough water?

Hi Arlynn...I'm getting plenty of water in the form of Crystal light. I'd love to be able to pee like you do. I'm still cathing everytime. Called the on-call dr today, he's prescribing another antibiotic for the fever. I've started bleeding like I'm having period just a little while ago (that's why I called the dr) only mild fever today.

I wonder if there is a cream or something that you can put on your staples/incision to help with all of that?

And doesn't it just figure that the crappy stuff always pop up when the dr is out?

I hope you start feeling better soon...is your incision still oozing?

Yeah, still oozing. That's supposed to be a good thing, but it's discouraging. Seeing Dr. Opie tomorrow.

Can you not drink straight water? Prepared drinks and drink mixes have sweeteners and salts that can effect your bladder and kidneys.

Have you tried a glass of cranberry juice (better with apple or grape) every day?

A cup of tea now and then is great, but most of your water needs to be water. It processes easier.

I regularly drink a gallon of water a day.
