OMG, I am SO TiRED, Lis!! I feel fine getting to work, but around 11:00 it sets in. I take DH to lunch and go home from there, and straight to bed. Not enough time to really nap, since I have to pick him up after work, but I do get to lie down for a couple of hours (if I fell asleep, I'd be out until sundown, always a heavy sleeper).

And next week I have to go back to full days and full workload. On the 15th I have to go to Louisville on business until Thursday, and the office upstairs is being remodeled so the whole building is full of glue and paint fumes.

In the meantime all my passwords have expired and a flock of new policies have been employed, plus I missed at least one training program.

Ergh. Never thought I remember lying there with staples in my belly as "the good old days".

My gyno released me today.

He said the oozing will stop soon, and I can always see a wound specialist if the second navel really bothers me, but he has done all he can for now.

I hate it for you that work is not pretty for you right now. I hope it gets better soon. Are you flying or driving to L'ville?

Is the oozing only in your belly button? Just this past weekend, Sunday a.m. I think, I was sitting outside on the deck, pulled up my shirt to look at my belly button (it was a little itchy) and I noticed something...I couldn't tell if it was lint or a scab or what. I got the tweezers and ended up pulling out a stitch about 1/4 inch long (I couldn't feel it coming out). I wouldn't have expected that after 8 weeks....

Happy 8 WEEKS by the way.

Take care, and take it easy.

Wow, freaky!! I didn't get any stitches in my navel (about the only place they didn't cut me). The oozing comes out of the second navel (a wide place about thre inches under the navel on the incision). It's nearly stopped now.

It never was an infection, and now that I don't need to keep a dressing on it, the itches and rash should clear up.

You know "lol cats"?

"I getz tayk bath now!!!"

you're so funny. I'm looking forward to my first bath. A friend came back from chicago and brought me a "happy pill" from the spa that she went to. It's like a cake that I'll break in half and use only 1/2 at a time. It, combined with another cakey thing, is supposed to fizz and foam in the tub and be like a spa at home thing. It's got those smellin' saltz in them that are supposed to relax, calm and then make you happy afterward. I think that I'll just be happy that I had a bath.

Take care...

Hey there!! So awesome that you had a night out...and have your energy coming back. How was Ft. Knox?

I didn't have an abdominal incision, just the lap. ones. Oh, and the bigger one in the vg.

News with me is that I'm headed for surgery again on the 7th to correct the TOT for the bladder. He thinks that the taping was put in too tight and is putting pressure on the urethra. I've got a urodynamics study to go to today...how fun...

It just occurred to me that the Nov 7 surgery is 1day shy of our 3mo. mark.

Hope to hear back....
