Hmmm...I just realized....

...the last couple of days, I feel like I haven't had surgery!

AND today I had to rush out for a meeting, and threw on my black jeans with the metal zipper....

...and realized 5 minutes later (driving car) - HEY! The ZIPPER doesn't HURT my incision any more!!!

woohoo!

happy girl!

It's great when you reach that point and realize it, good for you! Right now, my surgery seems like a dream, until I think for a couple of minutes about what life was like with my monster uterus, and I know that I've had a whole new life since that time.

I know the feeling. Just got back from 11 days away ... swam in water holes in Yosemite, walked a lot... realized that i FINALLY don't feel any pain at all ( cept VERY minor after wake boarding once - which I probably should not have done, but my body thought it was OK!!!). YEEEEHA!!!!

LIFE IS GOOD!

Hmmm...I just realized....

I am about 2 1/2 months out and can wear a lot more than what I was, but still get swelly belly so wearing jeans is hard. I got two pairs of jeans that are 4 sizes larger than what I was wearing before surgery. Some of my fav's are to tight. But I am happy to be moving around the way I am. I have my moments though. I can go like a full steam train and feel great, but after a few days it hits me. My belly starts to swell and get a little sore. I think I am gain weight too, anyone else going through that? Maybe its from being so inactive?

Hmmm...I just realized....

I did gain a few pounds in the 6 months following my surgery. I have gotten to work and lost that weight plus a few pounds more once I was ready for vigorous exercise. I can certainly work out harder once I was recovered from the surgery.

Hmmm...I just realized....

Oh man did I get a workout last night.
We (as a family) used to all go to mix martial arts classes, about 1 1/2 yrs ago I stopped going due to an injury to my knee. Well we decided to start going again. I figured it would be good for exercise and training. Well, I got a workout My belly is so sore, but not bad sore. Just a really good workout and it felt good knowing I am doing both my body good and protecting my self.
