Hospital wear

Hi and thanks for this site, I am so glad I found it.
I have posted once before but still have a few crazy questions.
When you are in the hospital and upon arrival home, what is the most comfortable thing to wear? I have not seen this addressed yet. I know I will be wearing the cute open hospital gowns for a few days. I will be having a BSO with rectal reconstruction. I had a TVH in "93" and did not have to worry about stitches or bandages like this time. I hope I am giving you all the correct information as I m new to this. Any info would be most helpful.

I just got home on Friday from a LAVH, I was in the hospital only 1 day so new gowns I bought I didn't get a chance to wear. I have 3 small incisions with only bandaids on them so my post may not be of much help. I bought some large mens boxer shorts that I let my 3yr old grandaughter choose for me & a baggy T-shirt-- my wardrobe for awhile. I feel at least decently dressed if visitors arrive & if not, they're loose enough that they are easy to remove & don't get all wrapped around me while I am lounging on the couch through the day. I bought all cotton even though there was some really cute satin ones, they wouldn't be very comfortable if you were to sweat. Hi Kay, and Welcome!!!
I found wearing long nightgowns the most comfortable...I have a couple of those Komonas...( I know I didn't spell that right)...but they are just polyester silky house dresses that drop from the shoulders. They were really comfortable.
About a week later I was able to wear loose fitting pants with the elastic in the waistband but I would keep them up a little higher than my belly button so not to irratate my incision.
