Belly Button Pain!!

Okay, I know this sounds so trivial with all of the other things we have going on, but 2 weeks post op my belly button started hurting so bad!!
Now 2 1/2 weeks, it hurts more than the actual surgery pain!! (Didn't have much internal pain). Not as bad as my headaches, but pretty bad.

If anything touches my belly button, it takes my breath away!! It does not look infected. I have been putting neosporin on it and then a bandaid to try to help with anything touching it.

Anyone else experiencing this??

Belly Button Pain!!

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this pain. I hope some ladies who had the same, or a similar surgery to you, will come along to share.

In any case, it would be wise to have a word with your doctor to make sure nothing's amiss. I hope it improves very soon. Take care!

Belly Button Pain!!

This is my first post. Hyster and bladder suspension was 5 weeks ago. Yesterday I think I strained myself trying to buy groceries and now belly button is hurting. Very sensitive even to cloth touching it. Pain inside the area. Waiting on call from Dr. probably won't get response till tomorrow. But I am very scared! Also very emotional right now. I was doing sooo well. Supposed to start back to work Mon. Feeling anxiety over that too. I have pfound that an ace bandagte around my tummy makes it feel a little better. More supported. Didn't think a swelly belly band was necessary- now wish I had had one.

Belly Button Pain!!

Lo and behold! My Dr.'s nurse just called. Said I was more than likely OK recommended Motrin for pain and of course rest. Said as long as I don't have discharge from exterior navel I'm OK. And said if belly swells up like I'm pregnant all of a sudden then I should get checked out but otherwise I should be OK till my post op appt next Thurs.
