Feelin good!

Here it is, 20 days post op and I am feeling really good this morning. I was a little worried that I might have over extended myself yesterday, but I guess not. I only had (1)..... gas pain this morning and my bleeding is finally starting to subside. I don't really ache and I haven't even taken any ibuprofen since yesterday at noon. I even felt some sexual urges this am when snuggled with my husband I think I may finally be on my way!!!!! Thanks again for all of your support and I hope all of your days improve also "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO - What a ride" Enjoy the ride!!!!

Tired Again But Feeling A Little Better

Hi Sisters !!

Hope everyone is doing well today.

I didn't sleep worth beans again last night, but i feel better internally a little today. I really don't want to take any RX sleep meds for fear of addiction to them, so i'm trying to tough it out. i did order some lavender products from a site recommended by another sister. they are supposed to come on 9/4. i can't wait to see if they will help . i will let you all know.

i'm supposed to go back to work in 9 days and I definitely do not think i'm ready. i seem to be having a tough time the last week and a half. the thing is, when i do get back to work, they will expect me to WORK. they would rather me stay out longer if it means i'll be better prepared when i do get back, so i am going to ask my dr for an extention. i was given 4 weeks, but i'd feel more comfy w/ 5 or 6. i don't even care if my pay is short longer.

well, maybe today DH and i will go to SPCA to visit the animals and bring them a donation of some sort. our Golden Retriever has some treats to spare. yesterday i did nothing but lounge around in my jammies.

Hope everyone has a good day and Thanks ever so much for listening and caring.

UshMush I just realized you and I are pretty close in reference to where we live. Would you like to get together some time and do lunch or just get together to talk? If so, let me know and we can have a private chat.......

Me Too

I had the same this as you and the hot flashes are killing me. I have always been a cold natured person, but now that is not the case. The flashes wake me up in the middle of the night. My doctor prescribed my H pills on Friday, Lord I hope they work. When did you have surgery?

Raise your cyber hand if the hot flashes are driving you crazy. Mine weren't bad at first. But now they seem to be about every 30 mins... grrrrr. Obviously, I had everything removed. I know people who have had totals and they don't say much about the hot flashes, which makes me wonder if they will die down eventually. I'm going to give it 3 months then call my doc for HRT.
A red hot mama? That would definitely be me. hehehe

I had a total laparascopic and was relieved to see your post. I had a good cry yesterday because I'm so frustrated with my body. I feel like i should be better already! (Of course, i also had a cystoscopy hydrodistention for IC- a bladder condition- while I was under. I think that didn't help!) I'm tired a LOT. Still experience pain quite a bit- very much like the pain I had before surgery.

And, OMG, the hot flashes! I am trying to do bioidentical HRT, but I'm still freezing my husband out of the house. I'm only 29 so I guess this drop in hormones from losing both ovaries is really freaking my body out.

Oh well, I felt some better after crying a bit. I'm trying to be patient with myself and remember that I'm better off taking my time now than rushing myself and paying for it in the weeks and months to come.

10 pounds

I live about 200 feet from a grocery store and today I needed Mr.Pibb so I walked over and bought a 12 pack. They weighed it for me ( I figured 12oz cans x 12 cans would be less than 10 pounds) and it weighed 9.5 pounds. I carried it home and BOY could I tell! I could feel tugging and pulling inside on both the right and left sides! I thought it was my imagination but it wasn't! I was glad to get home and set it down! I am sure I will get stronger but worry about returning to work...glad I have short and long term disability at work! I lift and carry people and certainly don't want to bust a gut! Also getting REALLY stir crazy! Have driving privileges back but get so tired, don't want to go anywhere! Glad this is only a short period of our life! Have a good holiday!

Let me try again. i had about 10 lines written and they disappeared. LOL

Red Hot Priss Pot and Caybound, Thanks !

Ushmuch, I know how you feel but I just had to get some sleep. 5 mg Ambien gives me a good 9 hours sleep with just a litlle headache in the morning.

Ccamrine, I have been using a "donut" ( my MD suggestion) for sitting with the rectocele sutures and it helps ALOT !!! I got it at a hospital supply store.I feel kinda weird walking around with it, but it does help to support my belly to if someone maks me laugh !

Ole'red, even after the pain I bet that Mr. Pibb tasted good !

Otherwise having a bad day. My brain says RUN and my body says HELL NO !!! I am still taking OTC pain felief for the lower abdo pain. Very tearful today. BUT this to will pass. I know when all is healed I will feel MUCH better than before Surgery.

Hope everybody is having a good weekend, as good as we can hope for.
