I kind of feel like all of you! I have my doctor appt. today so we'll see what he thinks. I have been doing 1/2 days this week and I think I'm going to ask for 1/2 days again next. I do a ton of walking up and down stairs and lifting (although I haven't done much of that!) I'm just not ready for full days yet. I'll keep you posted. Oh, I called to ask for my surgery report yesterday so that it's ready to be picked up and the nurse acted like they don't release them to patients........... Took me by surprise and I thought jeez it is my paperwork!!!! Anyway she asked why and I told her I wanted a copy for myself. We'll see if it's ready when I get there......Thanks ladies for always listening!!!!!

DR question

I was wondering about my next DR appt. Do they do internals at all? Some of you talk about your 4 week check up and being in stir-ups. If they don't want you to have intercourse and to take it easy are they really going to do an internal? I went at 2 weeks and don't go again until it has been 6 weeks. I don't want the DR to check my "sock puppet".

Ok- I just check the progree of other people a few weeks ahead of us and found my answer. Yes, there is an internal ahead for us. YUCK! I am ready for something like that. Once a year is enough for me.... Have a great hump day.

Hi Scopfer

hi scopfer. i had an internal exam at my 4 week follow up. i also had one 5 days before that when i went in for what i thought was a vaginal infection. at my 4 week follow up, dr said back to all normal activity, including sex. haven't tried that yet though. i also need to scrub my tub pretty bad, but haven't tried that yet either. i know what he said, but i just want to be careful and am still a little afraid to do some things. today is about 29 days post op for me and i'm coming along well now, but still want to take some things easy.

Fourth Week Checkups

It's great to hear everyone is doing so much better!

Guess what! The numbness is finally leaving my belly and it isn't as swelly. Also, I can now comfortably wear a bra!

I'm looking forward to my checkup tomorrow. I'm also thinking of going to a workshop for work on Friday from 2-5. I would be sitting for 3 hours and I would have to drive there and back (rush hour traffic back). Can't wait to see what my Dr says tomorrow.

Yep, I have ventured onto the treadmill, too - some days I can do it easily and others (like yesterday) not at all -- it actually made me feel nauseous! I know the healing is taking place, but I'm with you in wanting to have it take place a whole lot faster! Hang in!

I had my surgery almost 4 weeks ago and I have had a sudden drop in pain. I also started taking Gas-X which helped with the "other pain."

Another subject tho....I work 30 hrs as church sec and do 2 college internet classes plus we are guardians to our 6 yr old. All of this lieing around has given me time to think that this is way to much for me. (I haven't gone back to work yet).

I talked to my Pastor and said I thought it would be a good idea for the church for me to cut back and for us to get an assistant to work 15 hrs. He said he will think about it, he knows I'm feeling down right now.

I also talked to the lay leader of our church, who is like an auntie now, and she sees the sense in it too. No one can do what I do there except the pastor and he's doing it but it's wrong that he's trying to along with his own work.

I am just realzing how tired I have been for a really long time and I want to re-work my life.

Are any of you feeling these thoughts?

Oh, yeah.
I also do a job no one else can really do (I'm terrified to see what awaits me when I go back) and it is stressful, computer-intense and lots of overtime hours.
I am not looking forward to going back to that stress at all....

Well unlike a lot of you I do not have a job to go back to. I actually quit my job. We move. I gotta tell you the stress of trying to find a job that pays as well as my last really is freaking me out. I am sooo not ready to go back to work. Working a 40 hr week is a lot harder now I think than then. I know I'll get over this slump. But being in it is not making the job search any easier.

On another note yesterday when I overdid it shopping I picked up myself a pair of tummy control undaroos. It helped. There is a lot less jiggling on the insides becouse of it. So I had less of that pressure on my pelvic bone last night. Now if only I could find something for DH snoring
