Thanks so much for the words of encouragement!! It really helps me get through those down times when I am wallowing in self-pity.

I am now crossing off the days to the 18th with a big red marker......I only PRAY that will be the end of it, and he'll tell me I'm 100% healed. As there was a 2nd, smaller tear, higher up in my bladder that he couldn't treat, we are hoping that will heal on it's own too....if not...more surgery...abdominal this time.

I actually had a comfortable night last night, despite the albatross...only woke up once, and no spasms all night, with the higher dosage of meds.

Thanks again for the support, and I'll keep you gals posted.

Hi Sisters,

i have been feeling pretty good lately. did 2 hours OT at work this morning. i am really tired, but could use the extra cash. my dog bashed me in the stomach today. OUCH. he came running at me full speed and JUMPED. at least it happened now at almost 8 weeks rather than at one or two weeks, but it still hurt. i just can't wait to get my full energy back, but i know it will take a while. we will all make it, just at our own paces. Take Care Everyone. enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Hi Sisters,

It's been awhile since I've posted. It's good to read your posts and catch up on all your news!

Okay Sisters, I need your input. Do any of the rest of you struggle with lightheadedness off and on? I've been experiencing this periodically since surgery and at first chalked it up to my hemoglobin being low. At my five week post op, my hemoglobin was back to normal so they took me off the iron supplements. Also can't believe how tired I get. It's only been seven weeks, but gee whiz, I feel 80 some days! I have another doctor's appointment in a couple weeks so I'm wondering if this is normal, or if something else is going on.

Other than that I've been feeling pretty good. I'm sleeping well and really have no pain and swelly belly is even slowing down. I feel petty complaining about being lightheaded when other sisters are going through so much more. Please know you're all in my thoughts and prayers. As we've all said before, this site, and you sisters are a Godsend!

Yes. Absolutely I feel light headed. I've chalked it up to low hemoglobin and general fatigue. My DH tells me even my hair looks tired....which really boosted my feeling of well being.
They say general anaesthetic takes a year to recover from (I've had three this year) and we all have been told the surgery itself knocks the stuffing out of us....so, yes.....I think lightheaded might be just part of the territory.

:wow: OMG It's amazes me that there is always someone that is having the same symtoms as I am...Yes I get lightheaded a few times a day and I thought it was a side efrfect from the HRT's. My friend that had her surgery 2 weeks before me said she also has the same thing where she gets lightheaded. So I guess we can add lightheadedness to the list of things that are normal

HW Wife....tired hair! Wow! That brought a smile! It is sad, however, that I can relate!

I've been doing some searching on lightedheadedness following a hyster and it sounds like it may mean our progesterone levels are low. Who knows?! I'm going to give my doc a call on Monday to see what she says. I'll let you know what I find out.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi All,

It's Thanksgiving weekend for us Canadians here, and I give "Special Thanks" to all my Hyster sisters. You have all been really great & supportive.

I haven't posted for a few days - trying to find the time with being back to work, lots of chores at homes, homework for the kids (wow, there is no easing into it). On the whole I guess I'm recovering pretty good. I'm going to make my first trip out to the gym this morning before the big turkey dinner.

Sorry to hear about the difficulties some of you are having. My thoughts & prayers are with you.

I am really tired of SWELLY BELLY though, it's good to know it is so normal. I went out shopping looking for new clothes for work, and no go - I bought shoes instead. Maybe I'll wait a couple of weeks before I attempt that again.

Take care.

Back in my own Bed!

Hey there Sisters!

Every one up North Happy Thanksgiving from me South of the border! Since my BF is Canadian, I understand the feast doesn't have to happen tomorrow. You northerners pick one of the 3 weekend days to celebrate! So I hope you have lots to be thankful for and even more to be blessed with in the coming year!

I'm back after an aborted take off, training completed and sleeping in my own bed. I had a flight cancel and ended up spending 7 hours extra in Raleigh. I went and got a hair cut, caught an Art Fair in Apex, made it to the State Farmers Market in Raleigh and had a grand time. I did collapse into my own bed last night and slept a full 10 hours!

I've had enough travelling! Next time I leave, I want to go for fun, not work. Sounds like everyone is having days that are up to speed. Those of you who are still mending...please give yourselves permission. Women are the toughest creatures on themselves. Just pretend that you're your own best friend and do what you'd want your best friend to do. Isn't that sad? How we women will give and give to others, but not think twice about punishing ourselves for needing the same?

I think I have to agree on the lightheadedness. I get it too, but not daily. Didn't even connect it with my surgery, I kept my ovaries, and just sloughed it off. Doesn't last but a second or two. LOL Yep, I'm re-reading my above message!

Later sisters! This sister hears a nap screaming her name!

Go gently,

Sunni

How about keeping the HRT patch on?

Ok, since it seems as if there is always someone who shares a common problem with someone else in our forum...Here goes.....Is anybody on the Climara Patch and having trouble keeping it on. I was on the generic from the hospital with no problems. When I refilled my prescription, I was given Climara (Brand Name) and am having trouble keeping the patch on. I have tried many different spots on the bod and it's the same story everywhere I put it, I have already gone through 3 patches since Thursday this week. Ok ladies give me some input

Love yourself! this is true!

Someone will always be prettier.
Some will always be smarter.
Some of their houses will be bigger.
Some will drive a better car.
Their children will do better in school.
And their husband will fix more things around the house.
So let it go, and love you and your circumstances.
Think about it!
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.
And the most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have
children.
And the richest woman you know, who has the car, the house, the
clothes~~~~might be lonely.
And the Word says, "If I have not Love, I am nothing."
So, again, love you.
Love who you are.
Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say, "I am too blessed
to be stressed and too anointed, to be disappointed!"
"Winners make things happen ~~ Losers let things happen."

Be "blessed" ladies ~ and pass this on to encourage another woman.

"To the world you might be one person, but to the one person you just
sent this to, it could mean so much."
