I have tried many different spots on the bod and it's the same story everywhere I put it, I have already gone through 3 patches since Thursday this week. Ok ladies give me some input
Morahlyn,
I am having the same problem, only with the generic patch. The name brand Climara stays on me with no problems.
I read on a different thread about using rubbing alcohol on the spot where you will be placing the patch. I also wash the area with soap & water first (before using the alcohol). Make sure to let the skin dry completely before applying the patch. I use my hair dryer on the cold setting to make sure it is good & dry before applying the patch.
Also, if you notice an area of your patch lifting, but the rest of the patch is intact, press down on the spot for about 10 seconds. If that doesn't work, I apply a strip of athletic tape. My doc said that as long as the patch is in contact with the skin, it is working. She is the one who suggested using the tape.
Hope this info is helpful to you = good luck!!

Metal Chic - Thanks for the words of wisdom - I do need to be reminded of that.

I did my first workout at the gym yesterday - it really felt great & I'm not sore today (well I'm having alot of pain in my hips, but that has been ongoing). I'm going to see my chiropractor for the first time since surgery. I think I need some reallignment. I am also going to book some massage therapy. I need a little TLC for this bod.

We had one Thanksgiving dinner yesterday with my family. Now we're off today to my in-laws. It's a 2 hour drive, so we'll see how I make out on the drive. We might have to make a pit-stop.

Take care my fellow sisters - one day at a time!

P.S. - On the positive side - It's been 7 weeks and no pads, now that is worth celebrating. I just packaged all mine up and brought them to my sister.

Thanks for the info...I've been doing most of that....I think I will try the tape next....I wasn't sure if that would be ok or not, but I called the drug company today who makes the product and she basically told me to do the same thing and also they are going to send me a new supply for my inconvenience. I guess if that's the only problem I'm having I must be doing okay....Hope you are doing well also Happy 8 weeks Do you believe how far we've come!

Hi Ladies,

tomorrow is 8 weeks for me and i'm feeling pretty good now. my stomach still feels like a basketball at night though, but i guess it will be like that for awhile yet. not too tired today either, so that's a good sign. i can't believe it's this long already. i stopped sleeping with a pillow between my legs and biggest thrill of all...... i wore my regular pants to work today. did not have to wear elastics. that just made my day. hope all of you are coming along well too. one day at a time and we will all get back on track.

I was just thinking how well I am feeling also. I even started back at the gym (slowly) and that's been going really well. Although I have been taking it easy on my core. Work is going pretty well too, and I am finally getting some things done around the house that I have been putting off. Life is good............I truly have been blessed in my recovery (and in my life!) Hugs to all my sisters!

7 weeks post-op, new pains

I'm 7 weeks post-op from TAH (kept both ovaries) and I'm now having pains in my lower right quadrant. (Have a call into the doctor to discuss). I'm having some "moody" times where I'll just cry for no reason and I still don't have much appetite.

I feel really good at times, and then I'm so fatigued! I'm afraid I may be overdoing it a little bit. It's nice to read the other's progress reports and compare stories.

Hope everyone is healing well!

Good bye to hyster pants

Ushmush - I'm in the same boat - I actually put on regular pants today (I think they were shocked at work). It was a little uncomfortable by the afternoon but I toughed it out. Boy, did I run down the stairs for the hyster pants when I came home. Back in my comfies and off to the gym for a work-out. It sure felt good to get back to that. I really missed it, and so does my swelly belly. I haven't started working the core yet either. Twisting the wrong way still hurts so I am afraid.

I must say the "Relations" haven't started yet, I am so terrified of pain. I hear most have done okay though. My DH is just as scared as me though. Any suggestions?

8 weeks for me today

hi everyone,

8 weeks today for me and doing pretty good. Busted38, i was laughing when you said you ran for your other pants when you got home. that's what i did today. the pants i had on yesterday are the exact same brand and size as i wore today just a different color and the ones i had on today were tighter. maybe they're not cut exactly the same. as soon as i walked in my door, out came the elastic sweat pants. me and my DH have had "romance" twice now and we just took it easy. i am finding that i'm very dry down there, and all the time too, not just during romance. i'm wondering if it's becauses i don't have a cervix. anyone else having that problem ? i was thinking of getting some Replens or something . maybe that would help. swelly belly is still pretty big at night, but other than those two things, nothing else too bad.
