Thanks again to all my sisters for the encouragement and support!! All of you have been a God-send for sure in seeing me through this!

I'm forcing myself to take it real slow and to just focus on healing. Thankfully, everything has been set for Christmas for a good month already, so no last minute trips to the mall for me!!

I was re-reading the posts on the HRT...I am also on Premarin (.9mg tablet) and it is working beautifully for me. He started me off on something else at first, and lower dosage, but it didn't do anything. I haven't had a hot flash in a good 3 months, and before the meds, it was unbearable...cold cloths all night long, naked and ice water near by. Doc says I will likely be on it for 2-3 years, at which time he'll start weaning me off, to see if I still need it. I don't know if I've got brain fog or not...could be the other meds too, but I've warned the girls at work they're going to have to retrain me after so long, as my brain has otherwise gone right to mush! LOL

Again girls...thanks so much for the support!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to my fellow "sisters!" Thanking you all again one more time, for your support. I have 3 relatives that have made offers of Christmas dinners over the holidays, so there won't be much cooking for me to do at home. I've already told them my visits will be short, as I still tire easily. But everything is set and wrapped and under the tree, so I'm good to go. Being forced to prepare for the holidays early was actually a good thing, as I've totally eliminated the stress I usually put myself through, in other years, by procrastinating. It's been good to be able to sit back and just relax so far.

Enjoy your holidays girls...remember family and health comes first, and may we all be much healthier in 2008!

Yeah! It's Christmas!

Hi gals, nice to read all of your posts, crafty23, definitely thinking of you, you have really been positive through the whole experience, which I don't know if I would have been able to do!
As for me, I still have periods (no pun intended) of just crashing fatigue - feel like all I do is work and sleep, plus a little laundry. I have been dealing with high blood pressure, so I don't think that is helping. Physically, I feel great. But when I have stress, it seems like it takes longer to recover from it. Otherwise, better attitudes. Seeing my regular dr. this week, and I may discuss the option of HRT.

The best Christmas gift of all is to have my health back (almost!).

Take Care!

Are any of you guys experiencing headaches on a daily basis? I sure am. I'm on the vivelle dot .1 patch and am using otc usp progesterone cream (only at night). I have been walking two to two and a half miles 5-6 days per week on the treadmill for the last two months and am not losing any weight. I seem to be getting fatter! I am so frustrated! I'm tired all the time

Crafty, I'm glad you're on the mend. It's been a long time coming! I hope you're doing well.

Anyway, if anyone is experiencing this or knows how to help me, I'd love to hear from you.

Before I forget, I want to say Hi to Crafty and send her well wishes.
CCamrine, just curious, how has your blood pressure been running? Do you check it daily. My sister had a hard time losing weight, she gave up on her doc and went to an endocrinologist and is in the process of getting worked up for thyroid problems. I'm not saying that's your case too! Just throwing out there so you have something to consider because I know how frustrating it can be. Good luck!!
