A New Hystersister - darling angel

Hi , I am new to the hystersister support group, but I am enjoying the whole concept. I am going on Monday for a TVH with anterior repair, possible posterior repair and checking to see if the ovaries - have got to go. My doctor seems to be very cautious about taking them. I have had problems with cysts and endometriosis, and I do not want to go back, I was here 2 years ago. Thank you to the support staff and hystersisters to come up with a great way for people to "tell their story" and find support .

Hi there, first of all I wish you the best for your surgery and I am praying for everyone here. I do have a question, I am fairly new here. Is your doctor taking your cervix too? Hope you don't mind me asking, I will understand if you don't want to answer. thanks & best wishes to you~~jenny

Good luck to you on monday...i had my TVH/BSO this past monday. Dr asked me about keeping my ovaries. I asked him to take them, cuz that is were my pain first started..cysts on both of them--just small ones but very painful. Then uterus went all crazy too. everything gone and in less pain now--even with surgery pain. good luck...if your ovaries are causing problems...they may not be worth keeping--(my opinion- only you can decide)
