A silly question!!!

My surgery is this coming Friday. I feel all is go now to get things sorted around the house etc.

The problem is about 3 weeks ago, I was dismantling a wardrobe with DH. I was holding the door while he was taking the hinges off. He did tell me at least 4 times to make sure I was holding the door properly, cause it was heavy and to keep my feet out of the way. Of course I shook my head patronisingly at him and said I know I know. Anyway the door fell on my foot (doh!) I couldn't move my toes for a few days and it is still very swollen and at the end of the day my leg is also very swollen and I am walking with a limp.

Will this affect my surgery? I am just thinking of blood clots etc. My foot is defo not broken, just badly bruised, I really don't want anything to postpone this surgery now!

A silly question!!!

i think they are more worried about colds, flu, chest infections, chicken pox etc things that could make you react badly with an anaesthetic, or things that might be communicable to others who are vulnerable.

when you gor your pre-op check just ask but i am sure you will be fine.

good luck

A silly question!!!

Ouchie!

Please do let your dr know about it. I hope that it won't make any difference but I think that you should not take any chances and let your dr know ahead of time.
