Hey, it's great to hear from some of you again. I also feel great. The ONLY thing I've noticed is that I didn't really feel like putting out ALL of my Christmas decorations this year. I had a lot of other things going on (directing the Christmas cantata, preparing food for a bank open house, etc.), but I usually have those things. So I think I still don't have all of the energy I did before. Also, we had 20 people for Christmas Eve and most of Christmas Day, and it has taken me all week to rest up from that. However, I suppose the fact that I will celebrate my 63rd birthday this Friday has something to do with it too. Happy New Year!!!!

On a related note, my father passed away in October and I wanted to empty his bank account but fear that I may still receive more doctor bills. I guess I'd better wait! Luckily, I haven't received any bills at all cause my insurance is better than I thought!!

Glad to hear you are doing a little better. My hysterectomy is basically forgotten, and I'm not feeling any lingering effects from my radiation. Hurray!

So sorry to hear about your father, Hope. But I'm glad you are feeling better.
Nila, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I'm still feeling fatigued. I don't know if it's from the surgery or what. I've never slept so much in my life and I'm still tired all of the time.
On Wedneday I start back with aquatic aerobics. I'm hoping that will give me an energy boost as I have not been exercising at all since surgery.
Happy New Year to you all!!!
Sandy

As far as the surgery goes, I am back to 100%. I have one ovary and notice that once a month I have breast tenderness, moodiness, etc but still way better than what I experienced before surgery!
I, too, am having other unrelated health issues that are keeping me from going back to work fulltime or back to full activity level.
So glad to hear from familiar names!

I'm about 20 pounds more than I was when I was first diagnosed in July. However, I also had radiation that had me only wanting/eating mainly carbs and I gained weight then. I have been up and down 10 pounds about 3 times. I am now working on getting rid of it because I'm back to my healthy eating plan. If you need to lose a lot of weight, check out provida.com Michael Thurmonds 6 week body makeover plan. I lost 125 pounds with it. You eat 6 times a day, no special foods just fresh and not preprocessed. No salt, fat, flour, sugar or dairy- strict in that sense, but if you are an overeater, it eliminates trigger foods that make you just want to eat more and more and more. You know I think with 6 weeks of inactivity after surgery, we're bound to gain weight and bad habits.

I feel like the Goodyear Blimp!! I've been craving sugar like crazy and everything is ending up in my midsection. I started back with aquatic aerobics this evening. I hope this will get me back onto a healthy track because this surgery surely did derail me!

Before my surgery I NEVER ate sweets. Now, that is all I want! The family joke is they took out my uterus and put in a sweet tooth! I'm about 20 pounds heavier, too, and it is mostly in my belly.
