I had my uterus and cervix removed abdominally on Sep. 6 and was released on Sep. 8. My incision bled a bit on Sunday after a shower and stopped. Incision looks okay. Now I have a lump above my incision on the other side. Phoned doctor's office and they said just to monitor the area. The lump is swollen and hard beneath. Don't know why and follow up isn't til the 20th. Does anyone know what this might be? Scar tissue? Doc said my uterus was very large and I had 6 cysts in uterus; one size of grapefruit impacting organs. Still in pain, hurts like heck to move, but I do walk around the house. Having trouble having bowl movements. Take loritab and motrin as needed. So far am just worried about the bulge above the incision which is in the bikini line. Not getting much from the doc. Would appreciate any ideas.

I'm new to the site. I had a total hyst on the 6th and just read your post. I too had a painful period when I went in and now-NEVER AGAIN. I will try the Naked Juice cuz I'm having trouble with pooping. All day tried getting it moving and liked to kill me. Thanks for the recommendation.

Well today is day 6 after the surgery. I am feeling a bit better each day, but just a bit. I go in on Thursday to get the staples taken out. Can't wait for that. My belly is swollen too but I read thats normal, (swelly belly) and can last for quite a while. I am walking a little bit faster, not at such a snales pace! I just continue to rest, get up to walk and stretch a bit and back to bed. I have started working on a scrap book for my teenage daughter.
Today I had my second bowel, thank God but I should have listened to my Doc and taken some stool softner, man can that hurt!

My incision does start to hurt after sitting here a bit, so I am going to go back to bed.

Hello again to all,

I had a full on day yesterday feeling like a million dollars only to realise at the end of the day my value wasnt so flash. I continually feel like i can do things and it doesnt hurt at the time. Then after I reap the consequenses. Hubby is at home trying to remind me to slow down and the kids are being great. I actually feel pretty much ok. No pain relief now. Can anyone tell me when the swelly belly shoiuld start subsiding so I can get into my Tracksuit pants again?

So glad I found this site.
