Hormone Therapy Question

Hi Shorewoman
Do you mean you were already in menopause when you had your surgery? If this is what you mean this is really an individual thing, like so many other things having to do with this surgery.

Many women who are already in menopause find they experience menopausal symptoms after their ovaries are removed. Even though they aren't producing as much of the hormones your body needs, they do produce enough that our bodies can notice the difference. I would say you'll need to see how your body does and if you are uncomfortable with any symptoms you experience.

If you need some good information on hormone therapies you might want to do some reading in the Hormone Article List. I hope this helps. Let me know if I have misunderstood your question.
's, Rita
