Perceptionist,
I am so pleased to hear that you are feeling so much better. I remember when you could hardly walk. It's so good to hear such positive progress reports. Gives me hope. Keep it up.

Pulled a muscle?

Hi all! I have felt like normal for about 3 days now, but darned if I didn't pull something yesterday! I woke up this morning and couldn't even pull my pants up without enormous pain! So I'm thinking I overdid it somehow yesterday....hmmm....can't think of how, though.

It's finally fall here in Michigan, and I am so glad to say goodbye to 80 degree temps!

I felt a little PMSy the other day, and was wondering if any of you who kept one ovary felt the same? I know our hormones are supposed to still be working...but I didn't expect to have cravings.

Hugs to all!

Yeah 4 weeks since surgery -- guess what -- no period YEAH YEAH YEAH
yeah I know that was part of having this surgery -- even my husband mentioned last night -- no PMS symptoms-- I think he likes the new me!!!!

Feelin great -- still some tenderness on the right side of the sicision -- think I am having ghost pains from years of having pains there -- that the muscles are used to making a fuss -- it is slowly getting better.

It's been a long week and I am finally able to sit at the computer again. Had to read back several pages to catch up with all of you! I had a massive bladder infection and the first antibiotics (Macrobid) made me so sick all I could do was lie in bed all weekend. Had a high fever, chills and muscle weakness.

Had to talk to the on-call doc on Saturday and have my meds changed (Cipro), but it took a few days before I felt like I could get out of bed. Today I have a bit of energy, but still no real bladder control.

I am supposed to be going to Maui on the 30th to celebrate the "new" me, and now I have to worry if I'll be able to go in the water. Do they make swim diapers for adults?

I've missed all of you and am glad to see you are all doing so well. It will be my 4-week mark tomorrow and if it weren't for this bladder thing I'd be feeling pretty good too.

Four weeks tomorrow for me! Yay!!

Lisa - I thought the same thing about the period this morning. My last one was about a week prior to my surgery so it's like I'm expecting it to come. I know it isn't going to, but still.... having it for 32 years; it's hard to believe that it's gone forever.

I'm still having some pulling and tugging inside and my incision is healing well, but the area between my belly button and the incision feels like it has a bad sunburn. I'm hoping it will eventually decrease in sensitivity.

Happy Wednesday everyone!!

I wish I could say I feel great but am really sleep deprived. I hardly slept at all last night due to night sweats and mild headache. I call the nurse and they told me to double my estrogen. I hope it works and I sleep tonight. Pain wise I don't have much but maybe developing a rectocele problem.

Zeenobiadancer, sorry to hear about your bladder infection. I hope you feel better soon. Esp. for Maui, can I go with you. I love Hawaii.

Thanks Humming Bird, I hope this all goes away soon too. Sorry you aren't sleeping well. I am on a combo HRT called Angeliq and haven't had any problems with it.

I wish I could take all my Hyster Sisters to Maui with me! My DH would love that!!!

I have had mild headaches on and off for about a week. I am not on HTR yet. I will be in about 5 months. Are any of you only on progesterone right now and having the same issue?

I bought some books today. I visited the HRT forum, found some must reads, and ordered them. Here are the ones I ordered...

Sudden Menopause : Debbie Deangelo
What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause : John R. Lee, Virginia Hopkins
Sex, Lies, and Menopause : Bent Formby, Julie Taguchi, T. S. Wiley

I am looking forward to getting some good info from these books!

I am so sorry to hear about your set back. I hope you are feeling much better and are able to enjoy your trip. You still have over 2 weeks to do some healing. I think you will be fine. Drink cranberry juice every day until then. LOL
