Recovery,
Congratulations on both your great exam, path report and job interview. What a great day that was for you! You must be over the moon right now. Continued good health and good luck on the second interview.

Christy,

Don't worry about sex. It will happen when you are ready and it will be fine. Just take it slow. I can't wait to be given the green light, but am also afraid about doing something to hurt myself. We just have to take it one step at a time and not let it stress us out. Our DHs would never do anything to hurt us. I know mine has been afraid to touch me at all for fear of hurting me and I have had to be the one to show him what is o.k. and what is not.

I am in the same place as most of you are with the resuming sexual activity. It is something I miss in my relationship, but something I'm scared of right now and can't imagine relaxing and enjoying it... My DH is an amazingly patient person, and I know he's very nervous about hurting me. Unlike most of you guys I didn't have a long battle with the issues I had, they popped up suddenly. And even with the problems there, it wasn't painful for me to have sex except for a very short time when the cyst (we think) twisted on my ovary...
I have another week and a half before my dr appointment but I am nervous about being released!

Thanks for your responses...

Well, went to the doc today... Fun stuff you're tellin' me! Ha ha

She did a pelvic exam which smarted alot. My muscles feel like they are clinched tight. And I was trying to relax as much as I could. I guess since everthing came out that way for surgery, its on vacation right now. Also, these last few days I have had alot of discharge so bad to the point where I am changing my drawers at least 3 times a day and it has wound up irritating my skin around the elastic of my panties on the creases of my thighs... and my skin is irritated down there too... so, she said I probably had a yeast infection, Happy Happy Joy Joy, she said that was common with patients that had a TVH. So I took my little pill and hopefully things will get better. I got 2 extra weeks of time off of work. Yea! I go back to see her on the 26th and hopefully things will be good. Keep Smiling Ladies!

Hello All! I had to share how great I am feeling today! I almost feel normal (just a bit tired). It is so nice not to have the endo pain anymore! Woo hoo! I didn't notice it much before because of the pain from surgery. Now that my incision is just about healed and the pain inside is almost nothing, I can tell how well I feel in that department. I even did nursery at church today and held babies (no big ones) and fixed a big dinner. I hope things keep going this well. I hope you all are doing just as well or better! Have a great day!

What a great report, CaJen! I too am having less pain at the incision site and inside. I can walk a bit faster and I am released for full household activities and lifting to 20 pounds. Just no work for 2 more weeks. However, my hot flashes and night sweats are back with a vengence!

Be well everyone!

How great to hear all the progress everyone is making. I too fell really good, still get tired and have them fantom pains on the right side. Can get my jeans on they just don't feel good for long. Will be so glad to get rid of the swelly belly thing. I have never had a big stomach so this is really bugging me. Go back on Tues for 6 weeks. DH is excited, I am nervous. I know he will not do anything that will hurt but just nervous about trying.

I gave my husband a foot rub last night and he could hardly bare it...he has even started drooling at me in long cotton nightgowns. I suppose I could look at it as the male's part of suffering through the surgery, (as if the dirty laundry and dishes weren't enough?)

Anyway, we have already discussed a large glass of scotch and water, and I will be in charge on the night in question. It is not my insides I am most concerned about. My Dr. re-did my episiotomy and tightened the vaginal opening back up. Can I claim to be a born-again-virgin? I sure am going to feel like one.

As far as the big "O" is concerned, never had them before, and I am really hoping that all this might help. At 37 with two kids, I think I deserve one!!!

I actually laid on my tummy -- and it did not hurt --

man how we take the little things for granted.

Still have about 2 weeks before going back to work -- and the walls are closing in --
I still get tired if I walk to much -- but am feeling so much better.

Hope everyone else is still feeling good.

One month ago today, wow... I am so glad to hear everyone is feeling well. I am very tired today, but after church my DH and I went to lunch, then he took me shopping for new clothes. We finally ended up back home after being gone a total of about 7 to 8 hours and I am plumb tuckered. Totally wiped out. But it was a beautiful fall day here in Ohio and I felt pretty good, so I will play couch potato the rest of the night and see what tomorrow brings. Take care all and again, I am so happy that you are doing well.
