Janelle, Don't feel guilty about about how long it's taking you to heal. Everyone is different and some heal slower and some faster. Be good to yourself. You had extra stuff and that takes time. Many Blesssing and prayers.

DH wouldn't let me help at the jobsite today. Sent me home to rest... again. Drove around the lake feeling sorry for myself and now I am home sitting here.
I hope everyone is doing well. Back to bed I go.

went in for my six week check up today. I was NOT cleared for sex. I still have some bleeding and he said several spots are not healed on my cuff . He said two more weeks to wait. DH is going to be so disappointed. We both woke up this morning thinking "tonight is the night". oh well....

Jennifer, wow thanks! I'm going to look for that book in the library. I'm on a tight budget to get a copy for myself. But I can make notes of the most important things. I did read John Lee's book and he was so adamant about women using Progesterone because most women are estrogen dominant. Well, that's not the case if we have had TAHs! Thanks for the info. I'm on a low dose for now becuase that's how my doctor thinks -- low dose first and then adjust. He is also a holistic medicine specialist. But I can't afford all the supplements he has recommened, like Q10 (sp?). I do have a lab slip that my doc checked the box to check for my hormone level. So, I will give this medicine at least a month to be in my body before drawing blood again. What scares me is that Estrodiol has an increased risk for heart attack or stroke and I have high cholesterol right now. Do you think I want to take a stain right now? No. Then there's that question of well, we had Estrodiol producing in our bodies before which could have led to increased risk for heart and stroke, so the debate goes on. I just want to feel good! I think a low dose was the smartest thing for me to do, and I can always stop it if it disagrees with me. I'm only 2 pills into this thing.

Thanks for letting me go on and on
Linda
P.S. Kathy, thanks in advance for checking on the name of that drug to stop smoking. If it is Chantix, look it up online, wow lots of potential risks there too! However, just to get over that one or two month period without a cig, and then stop the med, just might bring me to be a non-smoker!

workerwoman,
I take Trazodone for sleep. It is an antidepressant, but 50 mg dose and 30 minutes later, I better be laying in bed because I get really sleepy and helps me fall asleep. I do still wake up in the middle of the night because of my night sweats, but after those clear up, I will be sleeping like a baby again. Just a thought. I first got groggy when I started taking it 5 years ago, but now, I wake up refreshed. I do take 1 mg Melatonin (sometimes a higher dose will not work). I hope you can get the sleep you need. It's so important.

What is the name of that book again?

I'm sorry, but I'm having a hard time finding certain posts when I close out a window, even if I go back to the original email where I get notified.

Jennifer, what is the name of that book that teaches you about HRT? Is is something like Weight, Women and Hormones? I can't find that title online at my library, dang it. there are TONS of other books like Suzzanne Summer's book and others, and I won't want to be overwhelmed by clicking and reading what the descriptions are. I'm already confused as it is.

I just want to read one book and be prepared to talk to my doc about all of this.

Thanks!
Linda

It's Women Weight and Hormones. Maybe you can find it by her name... Elizabeth Lee Vliet. She also has another one that has alot of the same material in it... Screaming to be Heard.

I had my 6 week appointment today. It didn't hurt like I expected. I figured my dr would feel around on my abdomen, but he didn't. Whew! He did put that stuff inside me to get rid of a polyp and granulation. He said it would have bled if I would have had intercourse. What I didn't tell him is that I did have intercourse and it didn't bleed. He told me to wait one more week for anything vaginal but I am cleared for everything else. What else is there? I am excited that I get to take a bath! I have missed my baths!!! I go back to see dr in 4 1/2 months to discuss HRT. I asked him if he does blood tests on his patients if they want to see if their levels are good. He said no. Soooooo it looks like I will be calling my GP or the endocrinologist. He hinted that I would be going on Premarin. Not going to happen. I definitely plan on bioidenticals. Just wanted to give an update. Have a great night everyone!
